hanging flume

Visit the website listed for in-depth information... but in short.. a mining company wanted a supply line and they built this "road" along the Delores River literally on the side of a cliff. The supplies were for the San Juan Mountains miners. I am in shock that Tripadvisor doesn't have a listing for it. It's quite the attraction and historic event. Do a google search with "hanging flume Colorado" for more informationAll you can really do is pull off Hwy. 141 and see the flume. I am sure the organizations rebuilding or preserving it could use your help.. and money.At least it's up now for the Tripadvisor crowd to see and make note.
