Just took a peek in the theater while the show was going on Saturday, but this is a fantastic undertaking and accomplishment for Saguache. "High hopes" has turned into reality, thanks to lots of hard work and determination - Congratulations on a bright future!

We stopped in here on our road-trip and it was quite an nice surprise. My boyfriend said he had the best pulled pork of his life here. This, coming from a Canadian meat lover! I had the thin crust pizza, which was also very good. The owner is really friendly! I wish we could have stayed to see a movie behind the restaurant, but we had to get back on the road. If we drive through Colorado again we'll definitely stop here!

We had wonderful pizza that had fresh veggies from the Sagauche Farmers Market - also gluten free crust! We had lots of great conversation with the very nice owner over dinner. I'd love to come back when they have a show going on in the old theater - so cool!

Each time I drive through Colorado on Route 285 I stop in Saguache for a visit, to take photos, grab a bite and sometimes stay overnight in my RV. Their are no lodging facilities in Saguache (there's a very photogenic, delapidated old hotel) and it's not a tourist destination but it's definitely worth stopping to stroll the charming streets and catch a movie at the Ute-Topia Theater-http://www.theutetheatre.com/index.html. They serve beer, wine and bar food. The people are very friendly and Chris, the proprietor of Ute-Topia, is glad to show visitors the projection room where she changes spools of film while showing a pretty recent movie. I highly recommend this establishment and the people of Saguache (pronounced sa-WATCH).
