You would probably see the sign "the Alpaca Store and More" and probably just drive right by it but we didn't as we wanted to see what really could be in there. Not expecting to stay very long, we wandered in and immediately "ooo'ed" and "aaahhh-ed" at the many products that were available in the store. I personally fell in love with the Teddy Bear made with Alpaca hair/fibers. My daughters loved the Alpaca Slippers but they would have been to "plush" for college dorm life. So we passed on them. The treasure of this attraction next to of course the many products, is Roy, the man that works in the store. There might be others that man the store but be sure to ask for Roy. One of the friendliest persons we met while we stayed in Rollinsville. Roy has lots of stories to tell. He told us about the man who built and restored the Carousel of Happiness. He told us the story of the Frozen Dead Guy and how the Frozen Dead Guy days Festival came to be. So, while you may not necessarily be in the market for Slippers made from Alpaca fibers or the most cuddly Alpaca Teddy Bear you've ever seen, a trip to the Alpaca store is worth a bit of your time just to say hi to Roy and hear him tell you a story or two.
