Thank you for your positive review! We are so happy you enjoyed the museum...now that you are a visitor! :)

Thank you for your "much better than expected" review! We have found that many people who stop, think the museum is small and are pleased to find 7 rooms that expand to the back of the property.

Thank you for your review! We especially like the analogy of an estate sale without prices! :) And the descriptive words: charming, fun and all encompassing.

Thanks for coming again to our amazing little packed museum! Our dream is to expand in the near future to not only include more room for our artifacts but create a Heritage Culture Center for events, demonstrations, classes and research!

Thanks for visiting us! Just an FYI, the old Dodge Firetruck will be in storage for the summer of 2014 to make way for an exciting new Wilderness Exhibit June - August!

Thanks for visiting our eclectic pioneer collection! :) Even though we still have multiple items of the same artifact, we are labelling more and bringing out unique stories to our area.

Thank you for visiting our White River Museum and enjoying our artifact collection of the pioneers from the late 1800's through the 1950's. Glad you have a unique cookbook too!

To say the White River Museum is packed with tons of things to see - is an understatement! :) We are known as one of the last "curio" museums in Colorado...so yes, plan to take some time when you visit.

I'm probably the only one who will review this museum who can honestly say that their baby bed is on display there. Many years ago, this was known as 'Meeker's attic' Then, the folks of the town got together and turned it into a very worthwhile museum. Love to stop in when ever we are in Meeker. My family moved there in 1895, so my history here is long.

Very clean historic museum. Had a large amount of history info throughout this cozy little museum. So much history in such a small town, great little museum!

This was not on our intenede itinerary, but we decided to check out all of the small towns as we drove through, and this museum was worth it - about 6 rooms filled with great stuff that tell the history of the peoples of this small town and local area - if it were and antique store , you would be buying lots of stuff! This is best seen if you are on your way from point A to point B, as there isn't much else close by and not much to do in town (check local events, though, because we were here in late Oct, so not in the height of tourist season, for sure)

This fascinating oddball museum will give you a vivid idea of what life was like in 1880's Colorado. Be sure and talk with Sandy, the museum manager who's often there. She is a living history book and tells great stories. Museum highlights: horse castrator, two-headed taxidermied calf, stagecoach that Teddy Roosevelt used, old saddles, photos of crochety grandpas and grand dames, arrowheads, flowers woven out of human hair, beautiful handmade quilts and dresses.
