The Amphitheater is where the locals and the tourists mix it up in the summer. Lake Dillon Theater sponsors great concerts offering a variety of musical styles. It's always a fun evening whether you come alone or with a group of friends or family. Good idea to bring folding chairs, or a water proof picnic blanket. Great to bring a picnic supper, or do a pot luck with friends. Do bring your puffy jacket, or rain gear. The evenings can be windy and cold, even in summer.

Concerts during the summer months here are a treat. You face the 10-Mile Range and Gore Range which are silhouetted while the sun sets. And, you get to hear a variety of music from the stage each Friday and Saturday evening. All are worth attending. And, on Sunday morning, they even have a local church use the facility for the worship service.

During the summer, the amphitheater overlooks Dillon Lake, sailboats and the mountains. There are free Friday and Saturday concerts with seating on the grass or on concrete steps (bring a blanket, camp chair or pad). On Sundays, there is a 9:00 community church service with talented visiting bands which is popular with people from many Christian faiths. As always in the Colorado mountains, bring a hat or sunscreen, and a light jacket. It is just magical to be at the Lake in the summer!
