We had been tubing several times.. the water was low those times with no problem. This time was different. The water was up and moving very fast... you don't know that until you get dumped out. i had a gash in my shin and a knot on my other ankle by the time I got out. I should have had stitches but ended up at the Walk in clinic. It is very dangerous. If it had been my head instead of my leg it could have turned out much different. Thank GOD we didn't have the kids with us this time.

We wanted to take the trip on the Lower half - which is supposed to be a more lazy river experience. Alas, the water was too low so we were given the upper river - the Adventurous Side - as the lady told us.Pros- Hang your keys in the office so you don't lose them- Changing rooms- Lunch option was good. Sandwich and chips tasted good after a morning on the river- Great priceCons- Big fellas (like me) tend to get stuck a lot. The kids got stuck maybe once or twice. I got stuck at least 5 times where I had to get out of the tube in the middle of the rapids and walk past the rocks. - If you get out of your tube, the rocks are VERY slipperyOverall - The kids and wife had a blast. Dad was glad to go back to the hotel afterwards and get some advil.- Great price for the trip- Would not recommend for kids under 10 due to the stronger currents- nor for guys who sport a good set of Flab-dominals.

Went with wife and 2 sons 9-6-2014 . Water was a low kept getting stuck on rocks so we had to do some walking a bit. Still had fun because it was with the wife and kids Only complaint I would have is the bathroom was absolutely nasty. Looked like they hadn't cleaned the urinal since it was installed. Im glad I didn't have to take a s**t.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!!! GO TO RIVER RATS. My family and I went there while on vacation for a family friendly river tubing. Their website bills this as safe for children and this is not what we experienced at all. We had children ages 3 to 12 on this trip and this was not for this age group. To begin we arrived to signed waivers, asked the clerk behind the counter if this was safe for young children to which they replied that it was a safe and calm "lazy river" experiences. Even the driver on the trip up to the beginning stated that "the hardest part of this is getting out of the parking lot". What we experienced should have had a disclaimer letting customers know this is a mild rapid river not what you would consider a "lazy river". My 6 year old daughter ended up getting stuck on rocks and separated from the rest of the group (not a scene any mother wants to see). My husband went back up river to help her and ended up coming down without a tube and then my brother in law had to swim to the middle of the river to get her out of the rocks. Several people including my daughter ended up being tossed out of their tube while going through the rapids without helmets!!! It was a horrifying experience but my issue is not that the river was more intense it was the fact that River Rage failed to inform their customers of the dangers of this section of river. To top it all off my husband lost his wedding band trying to help my daughter. River Rats was not allowing children younger than 12 on this section of the river because of its intensity especially because of the recent rainfall. River Rage should have informed its customers which route was appropriate for young children, even getting into the river was hairy without proper steps and no mention of needing proper footwear. BUYER BEWARE...DO THE RESEARCH ON THE REVIEWS AND THEN GO.

This is a great price for tubing down the river and I think it would be great if the water level was high enough. This summer the water level was low so it was fine for the younger kids but for the teenagers and adults they hit a lot of rocks and it was not enjoyable for them.

We went early and there weren't too many people as school started back. They only had the upper tubing open, I loved it, my other half and grandson took a tumble on some of the rougher rapids but were unharmed. Our second time there and still great place to tube. Beautiful views along the tubing ride.

We've used River Rage for tubing multiple times. Pricing is good, and we've never had much of a wait. The river tends to go slow when there's a lack of water, and it's a speedier trip if there's more flow. Be careful, there are rapids.

When I asked if my young girls could go on , they said definetly! When we started we were doing well up until the rapid came. My daughter turned over, I turned over could not get back on. I was swallowing water if it weren't for my oldest son 26, I would have drowned. I scraped my knees and hit my head and body with all the rocks and shallow waters. My husband hit himself and his whole leg was scrapped! We ended walking back to the place since it was too hard for us to do and I almost drowned. I have never shaken so much until this experience.

River Rage offers several different routes to take on the Little Pigeon for one price. The waiver form is quick and accurate, the staff is super friendly. The equipment is well maintained. After signing in you puck-up your tube and then wait for one of the buses/ vans to pick-up your group. They drive you up river and off you go! The courses include a 3 hour fast paced float althe way to a 1 1/2 hour slow paced float. They have life vests for all ages and size (free). Once on the river the float is yours to decide, stop if you want, swim for a bit, then float on. Wear water shoes the river has many 'mini rapids' to navigate- your feet will help. Super clean river! The deepest I personally encountered was approximately 7-9 feet. I took my kids from ages 8 through 20 everyone loved it. Forgot to mention...the entry fee is for the day!..so arrive early and take more than one trip down river.

Very dangerous! Lots of injuries! Do not recommend. Went for a relaxing float down the river. Ended up with scraped knees, bruises, knot on head, and very sore from head to toe. Needs to have a video for people to watch before they pay for the torture!!!

There are other rafting shop along the Little Prong River, but this one is our favorite and others as well. There parking lot is full while others have very few. We return every year to River Rage and usually buy the package which includes a meal at the end of your trip for $5 a person extra. They have the restaurant there along the river. All the rental shop take you up to the park entrance and drop you off because commercial vehicles are not allowed to cross into the park. From the entrance you have to walk up to the Y in the river and float down the rapids. River Rage has friendly people and the meal is great for when your done with your float trip. They are very nice! We've visited other rental places and they were not as friendly. This rental shop is at the last of the places in the river and you get the most from your trip. They will ask if you want to go to the upper (rapids) or the lower part of the river (floating lazily). We choose the rapids which are about 6 sets of varying degrees at what level the water is at. You'll see why it's the most popular, a lot of people are loyal to this rental shop! There is always a crowd there. They also have a go-cart track which is up an running this year.

We tubed down the river with family. Everyone had a great time. This is a strenuous and possibly dangerous activity and people need to keep this in mind when choosing to tube. There is a danger you will be injured. Plus if your paying 9 or 14 dollars you get what you pay for. Not going to be a lot of assistance. The place was packed and it took time to check in. Our drivers were all cool and friendly! Gave us great info about the area.Would definitely use them again!

I've read some of the other bad reviews and I just laugh at some of the things they are complaining about! We go tubing all the time in the TX hillcountry, so we know what to expect. First off, you are tubing down a NATURAL river, not the lazy river at a water park! Things happen when Mother Nature decides to rain! Second, this is a tubing outfitter, you signed a waiver before your yuppi butt got in the water so just take the bumps and bruises and quit your crying!! Loose articles of clothing and glasses are likely to get lost if not secured properly! That's why you don't take anything expensive on the river! There's going to be light rapids! That's the funnest part about tubing is not knowing what to expect when you go through the rapids. This is a good company and a great value if you buy the meal package. Don't go tubing if you are expecting life guards to be present and warning signs every foot or so down the river! But go if you love exciting mixed with a peaceful float and beautiful scenery!
