east tennessee distillery

Had some family visiting from New Jersey and took a ride on a Sunday afternoon. They are open as they are considered tourism and can sell moonshine. They give as much as you want of a taste and have so many different flavors besides the original 100 proof and 150 proof plain. Some flavors were apple pie, caramel, strawberry, butterscotch, coconut, banana, peach to name a few. They have three different sizes from the tiny bottles to the pint to the quart and prices are discounted on Sunday! Well worth the trip and will return again.

We stopped in on this little place just to check it out. When we arrived they were in the middle of jugging products. But they stopped everything just to say hello. Gave a short tour and rundown of their process then quickly got on with the important stuff like letting us taste the product. I had been looking for some unique gifts for friends and what better than a hand filled and autographed bottle of east Tennessee raw whiskey. Oh yeah we didn't realize until after we arrived that "Tiny" was on a tv show on Discovery Channel. It's a small place so don't plan a day long tour. But a great place to see and spend maybe an hour or so. But it was just a stop on a great country drive and quite a nice surprise it was, Just a short warning for your friends the product is much more potent than most people give it credit for on thier first try remember a little goes a long way and it must always be treated with respect or else it will run you over and back up a few times. LOL.

Had a great visit with a couple great guys at the Distillery. They were very nice and a great group. Went on the tour and even though it was a down day we had a great time testing and sampling lots of good drinks. Spent some good money but was well worth it and so excited to be waiting on the new flavors coming. Great carmal and apple taste. Great on a cool night even when i cook it gives a great flavor. Would recomend this to any one to have a great time. Looking forward to having some girl get together and do a Pure Romance Party with some Shine on it. Great job Guys you were a hoot. We were out for a day of motorcycle riding . . . Enjoyed all that Tennessee is famous for . . . Bristol Motor Speedway, twisty roads, great barbeque, and moonshine . . . all in one day. Our group of 8 were given a warm welcome, tour & explanation of the processing, bottling and corking of the moonshine. We sampled the various flavors and purchased our favorites. A definite "must" when we return to that area!!!!

Took time out for a grown ups day out and found out there was a Moonshine Distillery in Piney Flats, TN. We decided to check it out and glad we did. AMAZING is the first word that comes to mind..."Tiny" and his staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed sampling the different kinds of moonshine and just had a great time. Mellomoon Shine is one of the best we have tasted! SO SMOOTH!!
