There are several wineries in both Memphis and Jackson, TN. My husband and I being from Memphis can say that we have been to all of them. Century Winery by far is the BEST! Century Winery is owned by Carl and Jo O'Cain and the farm has been in the family for over 100 years. Their wine was won numerous wine tasting awards but that is only a fraction of what makes this winery Great.....Personal Attention to their customers! When Jo sees me she calls me by name, asks about my daughter and husband. And when my daughter had a specific question on making wine, Carl took us back where the wine was made! And last week, Tom who works at the winery suggested I buy a Cayuga white wine instead of a dryer white wine for my chicken piccata recipe and he was on the money! If you come in the Summer, check out their music at the winery events! Friends take my advice. If you are on I-40 near Jackson go to Century Winery. You will be glad you did!

My wife and I have stopped by the Century Farm Winery many times since they opened, have attended some of their Music in the Vines nights, and stotally enjoyed their wines. Jo is the wife, a sweet lady and very knowledgeable about the wines, From my experience, Carl is about the best winemaker in Tennessee. Have never picked up a bad bottle of wine from them and have never had a bad experience stopping by, many times at the spur of the moment. I would suggest to anyone that they take the time to stop by and enjoy the wine.

My wife and I were headed to Jackson Tennessee and stopped by. The owner was very friendly and provided a lot of information of the history of the farm and the grapes used to make the various wines. Watched a vine dresser at work pruning the vines in prperation for the upcoming season. Very purposeful in the approach, pruning with a pair of pruning snips. Quite interesting. Beautiful little farm and winery.

I had some time to kill on the drive from Memphis to Nashville so I decided to stop by the winery. The sign they have on the highway is a great marketing tool, well it prompted me to stop in. Anyway, the owner was very gracious and let me taste a few wines and gave me a quick tour of the operations in the back. The winery was situated right next to cotton fields which are apart of the winery farm. I had never seen cotton fields in person. The owner was pleasant and talked of how the winery came to be. I would stop in again.

Small intimate tasting room. The owners pour your glasses and explain about the wines. They have a rose garden and you can stroll the vinyards if weather permits. We bought a case, some for ourselves and some for Xmas presents. Would stop again the next time we pass through.

I was really excited about visting Century Farms on my way home from Nashville. When I got there, there was a political sign in the yard. I understand that it's a family owned business and its a free country but politics and bussiness are like church and state, it just doesn't mix.

Took my wife here to purchase some of their wines, the lady there was very informative and helpful and their wines are some of the best in the area.

Just off I 40 very near Jackson, TN is a small family owned winery that serves up a very nice tasting. They offer only a few wines but have won several table wine awards. The store and tasting room is very open with a few "I was here items" but several food items to buy with your wine for a stop on the road surprise picnic. Yes, we did find a couple of favorites. While there the owner served up a wine slushie, it was great for a hot summer day. Of course we bought the mixing ingredient and a nice pairing to go with it. We will enjoy with our family on Memorial Day.
