I love this park! We've had several of our daughters' birthday parties here. We like bringing the kids on a hot summer day & letting them play in the creek. Great playground! The hike to the waterfall is nice. We will definitely be returning here!

This is a great place to trail run and hike. If you run, you can run into the back of Bays Mountain. It is also up for over 5 miles and then came back down. It is really nice single track and a fun run. There is a water fall that right now is not flowing very fast right now. Have fun on these beautiful trails in a beautiful place.

The hike was beautiful. We made it to 2 of the waterfalls. The 3rd was pretty difficult to get to, but the pictures that were taken by a few of the teens in our group were beautiful. We didn't encounter any yellow jackets as previously stated, actually for the environment the he bugs were minimal or our bug spray was excellent.Either way, make the hike to the waterfall, it's totally worth it. Trail can be steep, don't plan on bringing a stroller.

Great prices on picnic shelters and beautiful setting by the river! However, in July take something to combat the yellow jackets!

We live nearby and go here a lot to hike. There's a few different trails, woodsy with a creek, there's a waterfall somewhere but I haven't been there yet. (I'm disabled and use a cane so stop when things get steep and don't go too far.) Heard it's beautiful though and you can probably search for pictures online. There is a playground here and sheltered tables. There's a walking path, Seem to remember there being tennis courts, and I do believe there's a boating or fishing area. I know I read the hiking trail is interconnected to other state parks, so if you're into long hikes...definitely look into this. Very pretty area, very photogenic. We take our dogs for walks here. They don't allow bike riding though, something about state law and bikers and walkers being on same path. (And we went on a day when NOBODY was on the path and still couldn't. Daughter wanted to test new bike and we live on a hilly curvy road.) Regardless, if you're in the area and have an urge for a hike or need a playground, this is a great place to go. No parking fees!!! They close real early in the winter though. Think open til sundown in summer. Great place for fresh air and exercise!
