This is a great little hike. Beautiful scenery. One thing to keep in mind when it comes to taking kids on this hike is the trail is on the side of a hill somewhat. There are some areas where on one side of the trial there are some steep drop offs. I wouldn't call them cliffs but they are steep hills. I had hiked this before we took out kids and we had a talk about being careful and staying on the trail and we were fine.

The hike is more exciting than the Falls itself, due to current lower water levels. Not particularly strenuous, shaded in places, pretty views of mountain vistas.

The falls were really cool as the water appears out of a wall. Since it drains underground from Navajo Lake it is weird seeing it gush out of the ground. It is a fun little hike that offers nice views looking down toward Zion.

Very fun little hike about 45 minutes outside of Cedar City. Be careful to follow the Forest Service directions carefully. It's easy to miss the turnoff for FS054 from FS053. If you find yourself going past the Navajo Lake campground, you've missed the turnoff. The trail is only 10 minutes, at most, off U-14.

This is a relatively short hike beneath a canyon rim to see a waterfall that shoots out the side of a mountain. The water from these falls actually flows from lava tubes that are connected to Navajo Lake. There is a viewing platform adjacent to the falls which gives you a great view of the falls going down the mountain. All of the times I've went, there has been good water flow even during the summer months, and the water is ice-cold. You used to be able to enter part of the tube, but that's now much harder to do since they constructed the platform. The hike is easy, but has some steep drop-offs, so I wouldn't recommend it for smaller children.

We weren't sure what to expect with this site as reviews were mixed...especially about the amount of water. The fire roads to the falls hike opens at 10 and there are toilet facilities at the trailhead. We were alone on our hike. I was surprised how well maintained the trail was. Wood reinforced steps helped in areas of wash out. For those with a fear of ledges, some areas are a little dicey. The trail now goes all the way to a platform where the water comes rushing out of the rock. All in all, it was a nice short hike for those who like hiking.

The reviews on the limited water flow at certain times of the year are correct. However it was peaceful quiet place , saw only two people on the round trip. Stunning views and you need your wits about you .

Easy trail for hikers of all ages and experience. Beautiful, breathtaking scenery along the way and once you reach the falls, it's amazing and unforgettable (especially in years when there is lots of runoff)

This is reached from Highway 14 and is located near Navajo Lake, some 20 miles east of Cedar City; reaching the trailhead involves driving on unpaved roads that cover your car in red dust, if it is dry. When I went it had been dry for a while so what water that came out, came out as a dribble rather than as a waterfall. I believe it gets its water supply from the nearby Navajo Lake. From the trailhead to the Falls, iti s about half a mile of quite easy, pleasant walking, with little elevation change. It must be better to visit in Spring or Fall when there has been rains to recharge the Falls, but that will have the disadvantage of making the approach roads more difficult to negotiate. It is a free attraction, but I am not sure it is really worth going out of your way to visit.
