Took the half day Split Mountain rafting and had a thoroughly good time. Guides Matt and Josh really knew their stuff and made the day fly by, being friendly, fun, and professional. This was my first day rafting and I'd certainly go again. After watching the video I was feeling a bit apprehensive, but there's no skimping on health and safety with these guys. Their aim is to make sure you have fun and stay safe. They guide you through everything you need for an enjoyable day. Lunch was included - sandwiches on a beach, and we were back in Vernal for 3pm.A fantastic day out and well worth the 89 dollars.

I can't say enough about what a great time my family and I had on the rafting trip through split mountain on the green river. Josh, our guide was terrific as well as all of the other guides in our group. What beautiful

We sail and flat water kayak, but had never been white water rafting. The Don Hatch Green River - Split Mountain Canyon raft trip is a great first trip. The scenery is beautiful and the river run was fun. You can believe all the reviews stating how good the lunch was and how well guests were taken care of. The staff is knowledgeable about the canyon and have lots of stories to tell. The guides worked well together and handled the rafts expertly. We will most definitely be doing another trip with Don Hatch.

We went on the day trip on the Green River into Dinosaur National Monument. There is lots of white water to enjoy! The first rapid was called entrance examine because if you can't make it pass that there is no need to go any further. It was very mild. The next rapids was named Moonshine and was the highest level rapid of the trip. At one point a wave completely washed over my two daughters and I. Prior to the river we stopped at Petroglyphs made by the Fremont Indians. The lunch is included and consisted of sandwiches, fruit, and cookies for dessert. Right before we put out of the river we took a short hike to see a cave used by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid as a hide out. The staff interacted with the guests a lot and were very knowledgeable about what we were observing. The river was the only way to see some unique mountain sides. In addition Big horned sheep were by the rivers edge. Some were butting heads but most were grazing. I have been canoeing, rafting and kayaking a number of times. This was the first experience for my seven year old daughter. It was a great experience regardless of our experience level.

Don Hatch River expeditions is a top level experience. I am not a regular on the river, but they really make an individual comfortable with what is going on. They are very friendly, efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. This is a company that recognizes that these trips are a very special, and rather rare adventure for many of their riders. They have solid knowledge of the surrounding area. The trip was full of highlights. The whitewater portions were superb. Our guide took a 'go big' approach, allowing us to enjoy maximum splashing and soaking. Fortunately, we didn't fall out of the boat when we hit a few rocks, which just served to up the excitement ante some. Then, during the slower portions, we enjoyed splashing the other boats, or playing 'Ride The Bull,' where a rider would stand on the bow of the boat and the others would start spinning, and you would see how long you could stand before falling in. And, of course, the scenery was world class. Honestly, Zions, Arches, and Canyonlands, as amazing as those locations are, and they really are amazing, really doesn't have anything on this river trip. Our trip took us through the heart of the monument. There were beautiful canyon walls all around us, bighorn sheep, the occasional petroglyph, and many impressive rock formations. The trip takes you through country that is only accessible via the river. People can't drive to it, hike to it, or fly to it, they only raft to it. It really is a fantastic, unique experience. While somewhat pricey, the money is very much worth it. Don Hatch has all of the needed equipment covered for you. You don't have to worry about securing permits, the logistics of getting to your launch points, and the other challenges that come from doing your own trip. Enjoy this trip, these guys are great.

All the reviews about the food and the scenery were spot on. Just an amazing trip. I went with my dad (age 67) and two brothers. The trip was as active as you made it. You could cruise along all day or stay active by paddling in the kayaks or paddle boat. For first time rafters, we were worried about the level 3 rapids, but they were a breeze. Of course, the food was top notch as were the accommodations. My favorite part were the guides. Brett W., Brett J., Andrew, Stacey, Joe, and Scott were so knowledgeable and personable. Really made the trip for me. I will absolutely be taking another rafting trip and I wouldn't book with anyone but these guys!!!!

I took the 3 day Gates Of Lodore trip. I loved the trip. The area is stunningly beautiful. The beautiful canyon will take your breath away. I love the staff, they are full of stories, they know their geology. They can cook, from the first supper, chicken fajitas with everything. Everything they prepare for you is totally yummy. Russell and his crew were professional, proficient, and polite. The crew are very fast at setting up lunch or your supper. I wish I had taken the longer trip. If you go on the multi-day trips take plenty of sunscreen and pack clothes carefully. It is very hot and very sunny, be sure to take a hat. We got to see big horn sheep, mule deer, great blue heron, geese, 2 bald eagles, and a golden eagle. A coopers hawk hung out on a branch of a tree in out last camp. Very cool trip.

Scenery was fantastic and guides were awesome. Sent on a trip with two twelve year old children. They loved it. Just the perfect amount of rapids. I would do this trip again.

This company did a wonderful job and our guide Josh was great! Of course, Dakota packed a pretty awesome lunch, and I'm sure they couldn't have done it without Bruce's supervision. Seriously worth the time and the money. They are professional, polite, and proficient!

Value. "Setup." Ease & thoroughness of online access for info, res., etc. Exactly as promised. GREAT trip for us 4: Mid-60's g'parents w/ 9 & 12 "Cali. beach boys" visiting g'sons. As promised, handled wife's disability issues (can't walk w/o crutches & full leg brace) very comfortably, professionally and well. She loved it, as did the kids and I (I'm not the "rookies" they were :)).

My family went rafting down the split river. My daughter is 8, and the rapids were just right for her. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, and made the trip very memorable for us.

We four adults were visiting Flaming Gorge for the first time and knew nothing about the area. I booked a half-day rafting trip with Don Hatch based upon date, time, and online reviews. We could not have been happier with the choice. The outfit was extremely professional and really fun. We enjoyed every aspect of the trip, from the Dinosaur Monument petroglyphs to the rafting trip to the bus rides. The staff was great overall, with special mentions going to rafting guide Josh and bus driver Brenda. It was the first rafting trip for all of us and we'd love to go again, as long as we can go with OARS and Don Hatch!

We have been rafting with Hatch for over 30 years. They are always professional, friendly, and the price of the float is very reasonable. Lee was a great guide. The water was clear and clean, the scenery was beautiful, and the wildlife was amazing. Great horned sheep, eagles, and even rabbits. The crew was very conscientious about keeping the area clean and free from pollution. I will use them again and again. They are the best.

Wonderful trip! Spectacular scenery on the last wild river in Colorado River basin. Great group, led by Brett, very knowlegeable on the geology, anthropology, botany, river lore and history of the area. Rapids were great and we had plenty of opportunities to try out the oar boats, paddle boats, kayaks and SUPs. And they are great cooks to boot! The front office was a pleasure to work with -- every aspect of the trip was well planned and executed. We had a blast and will definitely be back!
