The land reclamation work has been excellent. I visited in late season, so there was plenty of space between myself and my neighbors. I had a great view of the reservoir and the Utah sunset. The grounds were clean and the pavement smooth.

How did I not know about this place?! It's like a mini Lake Powell, but way closer to Salt Lake and with the added bonus of a plethora of ATV trails. A friend told me about Yuba when I was searching for a place to ride the ATVs that would be kid friendly. One trip and we were hooked. We now even keep our boat there year round. Also, there was talk that they were going to get a zip line next year.. Hope that happens! How cool would that be?!

We stayed at Painted Rocks campground for one night. This may be great for some people but unless you ride ATVs or boat there is not much to do. You can mtn bike which we did but the lake on this side has no nice beaches. The facilities themseles are nice - the campsites have a sun shelter with picnic table and electirc and water hook up and they are nicely maintained. It is just a question of what you like to do. For us, this was not it.

Although we are from Oregon, we have stayed at this park 3 times. We really love the peacefulness of the place and the facilities are nice. Whether you are just traveling through or plan to stay a spell, this park has something for everyone!

We go here every year for the 4th of July weekend. Its a great lake, and the boat in camp spots are wonderful. There are bathrooms within walking distance of all the spots, and garbage cans as well. We will continue going here every year: We cant wait for this next trip!

Yuba is great for a close weekend getaway by the water. We always catch fish from the shore although they might be carp. You can also catch Perch, Walleye, Musky and Trout.

It was nice being able to dock your boat at Painted Rocks. the trailer parking is nice even though we didn't use it. I love the docks on the east shore

I feel like Yuba reservoir is kind of my personal secret. I don't think most people in Utah realize what a nice place it is. There is a very nice sandy beach on the north end of the lake, as well as some small sand dunes. The water is fairly warm in the summer and great for swimming or playing around in. Both times I've been to Yuba I have gone with little kids, and they've loved it. I think most people that go to Yuba go to boat, but if you don't have a boat there is still plenty of fun stuff to do on the shoreline. If you're looking for nice picnic facilities there is a great park area on the east side of the lake, while the west side of the lake has very nice camping spots with lawn areas, bathrooms, and drinking water. There is also a small store there and a place to rent jet skis and other toys. Admission for day use to Yuba State Park is $7.
