I was lucky enough to be invited on the winter sleigh ride. Coming from Australia this is not something I can do back home so it was wonderful.Great food and entertainment however I have an issue with taxidermy which there is some at the cabin for dinner (I understand this is an idahoan norm).Worth the visit as the views are amazing especially around sunset.

Winter activity at Bogus Basin review.... Like everyone says, bring a blanket, or two! It's very cold on the way to and from the property. I'd suggest wearing ski type clothing. That way you can enjoy the sleigh ride In and out. Food was great. Entertainment was unique and fun.

A very nice thing to do. Great ride, good food and good service. It is cold but pleasant if you dress for the occasion.

This was a great time. The food, entertainment, and service were excellent. The ride to the lodge was quite cold though...need warm footwear, coat, hat, gloves...bring a heavy blanket too. The sleighs are pulled by three muscular draught horses. We did the 6 pm ride and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset...the way back had the ski trail lit up for night skiing. We had creamy cheese and broccoli soup in a yummy bread bowl, coffee and hot cocoa, main dish was steak, prawns, carrots, potatoes....the for dessert we had warm peach cobbler...so good. Cowboys cook and serve you...cowboy singer, cowboy poetry...bring your own bottle of wine and dont forget the opener. Really a great activity.

The whole evening was just perrrrrrrfect. Be sure to bring a blanket and be ready to relax it was a perfect evening from the sleigh ride to the dinner ( the soup in a bread bowl was Amazing). The atmasphere was soooooooo romantic. We never felt rushed and could have stayed twice as long and still enjoyed the evening. Top notch all the way!!!

Surprised my husband for his birthday. We took a horse drawn sleigh to a rustic, cozy cabin in the woods and enjoyed a three course meal that filled our bellies and senses. We listened to amazing live acoustic guitar music during dinner and were entertained by cowboy poetry. A truly memorable evening that slows down time and heightens your appreciation of simple pleasures. Great for groups, dates and special occasions.

You must splurge on a horse drawn sleigh ride to bogus creek's cabin in the woods where they will serve you a delicious dinner, serenade you with beautiful acoustic guitar music and then Bob will recite some "cowboy poetry". It was an excellent experience for us and our daughters (ages 8 and 11) Definately a highlight of our winter vacation in Boise!
