Lost Island is always a good time! It is easy to get to. Parking is easy. There are restaurants nearby. Hotels nearby. fun stuff.

Clean facilities, friendly attendants and great water rides. I was so excited when this place opened up so close to my hometown a few years ago, and I have never been disappointed. What else could you ask for?

Great place to take the family, and now there is a huge hotel! Was well worth the trip and would do it again in a heart beat!

Best place to escape the heat of Midwest.OK lines, clean environment and well looked after. The lazy river was really funny! Most suitable for taking your 10 ages and up children.

I believe this is the best outdoor water park in IA. Centrally located in Waterloo with a campground, golf and casino located nearby.

We went on a day that was a little chilly but still had a Blast. Loved the water slides and there is a lot to choose from. The lazy river is not that big but still fun. The decor is amazing makes you really feel like you are in the tropics somewhere. My kids loved the wave pool that's where they spent most of there time. And there is actually alot for the little ones to do.

If you think there is a better waterpark than this in the us you are mistaken. This place is the best, short lines, on the ball staff, well looked after and a great variety of rides. Worth every penny.

Tickets to the Lost Island Park are great gifts to give. Our out of state families come here to enjoy their gift and have a great time.

Excellent value at $25. lines are tolerable, clean decent atmosphere. good nearby accomodations. great place to take kids 8-15. dislike that people by season pass and drop their kids off as its a baby sitter...

Lost Island is an amazing waterpark, especially for being in Iowa. We are lucky to have it. It has become my family's favorite getaway, we are there at least 3 times a summer. The people are friendly and the entire experience is fantastic. Worth checking out, for sure.

We spent a Saturday in August at the Lost Island Waterpark. It was very easy to find. I took kids ages 10 and 6. It was a sunny day about 86 F. We ordered our tickets online the morning that we were going and saved standing in a long line. It wasn't busy right when they opened but got very busy shortly after that. There are many slides for all ages and fear factors. There are areas for little children, a lazy river and a huge wave pool. Lockers and Changing/Shower rooms are available. Food and beverages for sale but most poeple bring a picnic lunch and cooler in their car and go out into the parking lot for a tailgate picnic or a blanket under a tree. You get a bracelet when you enter and can come in and out of the park for the day. The lockers were $2 - $5 depending on the size with a refundable $5 deposit. I had $3 locker that held my car keys, wallet, sunblock and the kid's swim goggles. The locker key is on a string you wrap around your wrist. I threaded mine thru my waterproof watch so I would lose it. I would bring a bread tie to tighten the wrist string. I HIGHLY recommend wearing swim shoes or flip flops since the cement gets very hot. The lines for some of the slides were very long but the kids didn't mind waiting. There were always inner tubes available where ever we went in the park. At $24 per person, we usually go once a summer. We had a great time.

Thank you for your feedback regarding Lost Island. I must apologize for the service you received when you called yesterday. There is no excuse for the treatment you received and the staff member who spoke with you has been disciplined for his behavior. Your 2014 tickets can still be redeemed for golf, go-kart, or zipline activities through the end of September, however, Lost Island tickets cannot be purchased one year and used the next because they expire just as any other theme park's tickets expire at the end of a season. Please consider giving Lost Island another chance in the future. I am confident that you will be pleasantly surprised.

I took 11, 12, 14 and 15 year old kids on a nice early August Saturday. We all had fun. Was busy, but that was expected. This is a very nice park for being in the middle of Iowa. Lots of fun slides.

We spent a great day there. We had families with kids of different ages & some adults without kids & everyone had fun!! They opened at 10:30 & we got there before 11:00 & the lines to get in were VERY LONG!! They definitely should have a few more people working the ticket lines when the park is just opening!! And also, they way they do the entrance is kind of stupid. First you stand in the very long line to buy your tickets & then you have to have someone else 4 feet away scans the tickets & for some reason the scanner was having difficulty so it took FOREVER to get it to work. BUY YOUR TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME ONLINE TO AVOID THE LINES.But once you get into the park it is very nice. Although the lines for some rides like the roller coaster were long, others weren't. We have been to lots of other waterparks & I felt this one could have a few more lifeguards. When our kids were in the Tahiti Treehouse I never saw a lifeguard & it was like a free for all. There are slides down it & they should have had someone standing at top to make sure the little ones get out before sending down another kid. I witnessed a lot of kids knocking into others. And in the Blue Iguana Lagoon the lifeguard never said anything to the kids on the cargo net that were knocking kids off & piling up

So many rides/attractions! Lines moved very quickly. Every thing was fun and some kind of scary! Was busy, and some minor waiting mid afternoon. Later in the day you could go right back on most rides. Was costly for a larger family but a great time was had by all.
