The Bucs are so much fun to watch! The fans are great and crowd really gets into it! The tickets are inexpensive and the views are all great. Sitting on the ice is amazing, watch your drinks however, if you set them on the ledge...they WILL end up in your lap! There are drink specials and the food is priced right. Love going here on a date or with the family! This is what hockey really is - nice and cold and a loud crowd!!

I've gone to see the Buccaneers on numerous occasions, and it's always a good time. Tickets are cheap and there's not a bad view in such a small arena. I personally like spending a bit more and getting right on the glass. The crowd gets really into these games, so win or lose it's a good time.

We had a really good time. The arena was very clean and well kept. We are not huge hockey fans. I was surprised how family oriented they were. There were kids running everywhere. We went on a Friday night. It wasn't super crowded. The food was pretty good as far a arena food goes. They don't allow smoking or cussing. We enjoyed the game and would go again.

Great fan base for the Bucs! We always have a great time when going to a Bucs game. The wide variety of food & drink offerings are very much appreciated. Pricing is right in line with other USHL game tickets and there is always a coupon for tickets someplace. I just wish the restrooms had a little bit more room, you almost have to back into the stall. Overall, great time and love the game of hockey! GO BUCS!

Love this place! Always a good time. Great local following, great crowd involvement. People really love the Bucs in Des Moines. Prices are a little steep in my opinion, but it's worth it to enjoy a good hockey game.

My wife and I are HUGE hockey fans, but had never been to a USHL game. The Buccaneers are so much fun, as are the fans! The arena may look old, but the team really tries to make the games a ton of fun and the fans are very loyal. We had seats write on the glass, so it was an added bonus to a great night!

Great times, don't know alot about Hockey but it was fun, loud, and exciting.

If you are in DSM and you are a hockey fan, you have to catch a Bucs game. This is 16-20 year-olds who are trying to either get signed to the NHL or get signed to universities. They give everything they have (even in their fighting). Section 7 is where the season ticket holders all sit, and they are the better hockey fans.

Nothing special, just an Iowa hockey rink with an Iowa Hockey team.

this is a small arena, but it is nice. It's old, but the hometown ambiance and size make it more fun than it could be. It's a great place to see a hockey game for a reasonable cost.

Great Hockey. This is hard work for most of the players are trying to get picked by colleges to play for so they can continue their education. The play hard and actually more interesting to watch then professional. This is division most of the Olympic Hockey team of Herb Brooks came from.

An old school arena with old school smells. No, it isn't brand new like some other arenas you have been to but it has charm. A charm you won't find in those new arenas. Yes, you have to get an ID wrist band if you want to partake in adult beverages. And yes, many of the vendors will turn you away if you don't have an id band. Decent food to choose from him you just can't wait for a good local place after the game. The bathrooms have been newly remodeled in the past few years but there are few stalls and lines can get long. And the floors are always soaked. The water in the sink is always freezing and there is rarely a paper towel to be had. That being said, this IS hockey and you better toughen up for a night of tough shots. Find your seat which YES, is old school seating and settle in for some Buccaneer hockey. The usual give aways during periods and one special attraction other than our Bucky the mascot... Air Guitar Jim! You will know it when you see it. It is an absolute train wreck AKA HOT mess. Nightly specials may include cheap brews which always attracts the local college kids which is not necessarily a good thing as many tend to overindulge and get sloppy or overly rowdy. NOT all, but some. All in all it is a great time. Season ticket holders get deep discounts on drinks. And yes, we are kind to visitors... just don't act like a fool to our team.
