For a small town Museum, The Red Faber exhibit rivals anything you would see in Cooperstown, NY for a baseball fan. It just 20 mins down the road from the Field of Dreams in Dyersvilles,Ia, so well worth the diversion. Hours are limited so check to see that they are open before going.

Red Faber was a hall-of-fame pitcher from Cascade Iowa who pitched for the Chicago White Sox. Charlie Comiskey frequently brought the team to Dubuque to play at the old ball grounds down along the Mississippi River. The museum is filled with memorabilia from Red's playing days and is a true delight for any baseball enthusiast. Within the glass enclosed cases are many artifacts of interest; yes, even an old painted brick donated by this reviewer from Comiskey Park. In sorting through my pictures I was thrilled to find one that is almost identical to that located on their website. If you love baseball history then you will thoroughly enjoy this attraction. I am glad to offer this initial review for TripAdvisor.
