Located 65 miles North of of Duluth a large new world awaits the visitor. Stretching from Aurora-Hoyt Lakes on the Eastern end to Grand Rapids on the Western end lies the great Mesabi Iron Range, a resource that literally enabled the United States to become the envy of the World. Iron Ore, past and present is the attraction. Huge open pit mines, deep underground mines, ore dumps, Ethnic food and cultures offer the visitors an experience of epic proportions. Evidence of historic greatness along with modern mining technologies is every where. Enjoy ethnic food, reasonably priced accomodations, warm friendly welcoming local people for a very enjoyable family friendly vacation. Minnesota's 10,000 beautiful lakes nearby are a pleasant bonus.

I enjoyed jogging/walking down this trail very much. I don't do many winter walks especially with this cold weather, but when I do I want it to be worth it-and it was. Great views of a landscape that is unique to the whole world. Highly recommend.
