Nice, small lakeside park to take a break and relax. You have to look for it or you may miss it, but worth a stop.

I don't think I would go way out of my way to see this giant loon, but when in the area it is a great place to stop. The kids love to pose by the loon for pictures. The park is a great place to let them play and there is a beach to swim and/or fish. So, if in the area- don't miss this place to stop for a minute or an hour.

A fun photo op in a nice park on the lake.Nothing more exciting than a really large cement loon, but still...

Minnesota is the home of large statues in small towns. the loon is the state bird. Another place to take a picture.

First, I always laugh at the World's Largest Loon standing on the shore of Long Lake when just down the road is Loon Lake. But this is a must stop if you have kids or just want to get out in a park-like setting and relax. Just a few seconds out of town on Hwy 4 this is a great place for picnics, family reunions, class reunions or a place to let the kids play on the large playground or even go for a swim in a designated swimming area. I have always wished there was a place right there to get something to eat but there are two great places in town a few blocks away that offer that. There's plenty of parking but this is a non-camping park. Everyone must be out of there by 10:00pm. So what? It's hard to take pictures without a flash after dark anyway.

Whooo doesn't like a big looon? Kids will enjoy the lakeside park, and photo opportunities. Enjoy the bike trail from Vergus town center to here.

It is a nice park area, but nothing else to do there. It is on the lake, so it might be nice to picnic there with kids.

My wife and I visited the World's Largest Loon in Vergas, MN in the fall. It was a great drive out of the metro to lake country and the loon made a great stop for a breather. It is right outside of Vergas and there is plenty of room to park your car for a while and take in the beauty MN has to offer. The loon statue if very tall and makes for a great, yet somewhat humorous picture. Pack a picnic and enjoy the lakefront park. The jungle gym is sturdy enough for adults! We had a great time visiting this truly Minnesota attraction.
