takin' time

Another couple brought my wife and I to Takin' Time last night. This is a remote and secluded location for top-notch blue grass music. Mike and Barb host blue grass bands in their pole shed (barn if you're not from the midwest). The seating capacity is about 80. The show begins at 7:00 and goes until 10:00. If you are not there at 6:30 you will stand for the evening. The protocol is BYO drinks and food. It is an intimate and rustic atmosphere. You are definitely 'up front and personal' with the band. We were amazed at the talent of the band (Henhouse Prowlers). If you are a blue grass fan who doesn't feel the need to be pampered, this is a fantastic venue. There is a $10 cover charge. Nothing for sale on site.
