I came here with my gi guard troop its cheap and cool you get a looka t the old buildings the animal and a giant paul buunyan who actually talks to you there is aloso some really cool rides and a not so expensize gift shop you can also eat at there dinner this is a awesome place to bring kids ages 7-10 they would most enjoy it

Spent 1-1/2 hours here with our 8 and 10 year old grandkids. They absolutely loved it! Their favorite was the rock climbing wall. The rides were well staffed and ran pretty continuously on a beautiful Friday afternoon. There were no lines so they rode lots of rides multiple times.The kids were very impressed that Paul Bunyan greeted them by name. (The 10 year old did inquire as to how that happens.)Food available is only snacks and beverages.It's not Disneyworld, but if you come with the right expectations, it's lots of fun.

If you go in expecting Valleyfair or Disney, you'll be disappointed, but if you are looking for charming entertainment based on Minnesota history and folklore, this is the place! We'll definitely go back!

This was a big disappointment and not worth the nearly $20 per person admission fee. The rides are rickety and poorly staffed, had to ask multiple staff before we found someone to run the carousel for my two year old nephew, the train also. Babe the blue ox in the parking lot is neat and a good photo op. If your really interested in Paul Bunyan and aren't heading up to Bemidji (where he inhabits the city park) opt for the option to just go take a picture with Paul ($7.50, the day we visited).

We visited Paul Bunyan land for the second time this June. Not a park for older kids but fun and entertaining for younger ones -- ages 10 and under. Paul Bunyan greets the kids by name when you first enter and from there, the kids can climb on the climbing wall, ride a small train, get on the bumper cars, tart-a-whirl, etc. we went during the week during a break from hockey camp and there were no lines and easy to always see your kids so no fears of them getting list. The old farm park of the park is not to my taste but the kids can also enjoy seeing the animals and enjoying a few hours of whole fun times.

We spent the day with our son and family at the park. The price was $17.95 for each with a $2 discount for seniors. It was a bit pricey for 6 but the rides and Old Farm is included in the price. The huge statue of Paul Bunyan greets you after you enter--he talks to all and even knows the kids name-- a good picture taking oppotunity for the family. The rides were good for the kids. There is a restaurant for lunch to sit in.The Old farm area is full of many old buildings and antiques--my hubby loved it-- tons of antiques and old tractors. The area is clean--a covered area for sitting.It is a bit away out of town on Hyw. 18 but easy to get to. watch out for the tattoo and stone washing-- they didn't tell us it cost $4;50 each--a real rip-off .All in all it was a good day.

My young family of four spent nearly $80 to enter a run down carnival. The entry was great and looked well taken care of...however as soon as we got passed the giant Paul Bunyan we soon realized that was where the fun ended. The rides were dirty, rusted and needed repair. The grounds looked like it needed a good lawn mowing and weed whacking at the very least. There was only one unhappy high school aged attendant that could start the rides so we had to follow her around in order to ride anything. At one point she told my son not to touch the water at the boat ride because she didn't want him to get worms from the disgusting water! She said they usually dye it blue, but not this year. My kids liked the dirty jumpy castle so they jumped for nearly 40 minutes so that was nice after a long drive. The petting zoo was cute until one of the goats bit a child next to us-literally drawing blood so we left and went to the farm area which was really just a bunch of antiques put into worn down buildings with creepy stuffed people-not really for my active boys. So, back to the bouncy castle we went.....Your family might get its money's worth if your kids are really into rides as you can ride them as many times as you want. Also, I noticed a sign that said you can have Paul Bunyan say your name and you can get a picture with him for a discounted price instead of paying the full price of admission.There were free strollers available near the front but it is small enough for young ones to walk.

The rides were free with the entrance fee (a bit expensive for a whole family) There is this old farm area with old buildings and antiques.

We visited on a Monday in August and it was wonderfully quiet. Our kids had never been on rides and this was a prefect introduction. No lines and enough to keep them busy. The roller coaster looks very easy, but is will rattle your bones. Paul greets the kids as they arrive and it amusing to see their reactions. We did not schedule enough time for the history part. We will schedule more time in the future. The price might seem steep, but it was worth it for us if you consider the cost of all the things that go into this experience. As for food, don't bother. Pack a picnic unless you like overpriced nachos and hamburgers. If you happen to not eat hamburger and hotdogs, plan on ice cream for lunch.

When I visited Paul Bunyan Land 45 years ago, it was an amazing place. While it has moved from the main drag to a location not quite as inviting, it still holds a lot of attraction for the under 10 year old group. There are some typical small-scale carnival rides but the main attractions to me are the mine shaft, which makes you feel as if you are taking an elevator deep into the earth, and Paul himself who must be 25 feet tall and has a real conversation with you. Unfortunately, the gift shop, in my opinion, is hardly with a visit with nothing I was even halfway inclined to purchase.

Cost is $15.95 for everyone over 3 years old. There is a little town with old time photographs and misc stores which are boring for kids. The rides are about a hundred old & look like they may break down any moment. The big blue ox is in the parking lot. Take your picture with him for free & don't bother going inside.

Paul Bunyan Land is a fun and exciting theme park. It is very family friendly, but also pricey. They have fun rides, a cool farm which has a lot of collectables, and nice staff. I recommend it to anyone who is in the area and needs something to do for a few hours. The only thing I don't quite understand is when you walk in, there is a giant statue of Paul that somehow knows your name.

Every summer we go to Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort for a few days and we always take our daughters (5 yrs. and 8 yrs.) to Paul Bunyan Land, since it is only a 15 minute drive. There are lots of rides for kids under 10 years old, a rock climbing wall, candy store, restaurant, and an old fashion town (30 buildings) that looks like it could be on American Pickers.

Took our 5 yr old daughter here and she had a blast! This place was perfect for her because we paid one price and she ran around for almost three hours do whatever rides she wanted as many times as she wanted. She is liking more of the thrill rides now and there is a perfect mix of small kiddie ones and bigger fast ones. She LOVED the climbing wall, which she made it to the top!
