Love that you can ski all day and into the night on weekend. Great price, well maintained hill!!! Chalet has a great ski shop, and chalet bar was great also, excellent pizza....just wish it stayed open longer to accommodate the people who like to ski till close, even stay open till 9 or 10....otherwise GREAT!!!

Staff was pleasant, helpful and patient for teenagers changing ski plans. There was ample staff on hand to deal with the amount of traffic.

Well-groomed and not too many others on the trails. Trails are all marked and maps are clear. Lighted 5k is super for night skiing.

The customer service at the front desk was rude in the way we were treated when our room temp would not go below 80 degrees.

Giant's Ridge was a first ski trip for our daughters. The ski school instructor was above my expectations - very kind and encouraging, she took our daughters from not knowing how to put their skis on to skiing the little bunny hills and using the magic carpet and j-bar. Afterward, they spent 2 days going up the real lift and skiing green and then blue hills - so happy! They are already begging to return! They were disappointed that their favorite green hills close at dusk because there is no lighting. Would love to have those hills open as well. Made the open hills much more crowded. We tried the tubing, but definitely weren't interested in 2 hours of sliding. It was fun, but just for about 6 slides.Super cold to ski in MN, but the snow was nicely groomed if a bit icy since the temps were in the single digits. We'll likely return when we visit our MN family.

A great mountain on the Iron Range in MN. Runs were groomed well everyday. Many types of runs to choose from including 2 bunny hills. Our favorite was Sunshine for the never ending tiny hills that were basic but thrilling. Happy operators at every lift, and noticeable ski patrol every day. The Lodge was a dream to stay at being ski in/out. I have not skied here for 10+ years, but look forward to returning already next year.

This ski resort was a lot of fun with many more ski runs that we expected. Not all of the lifts were operating when we visited, but all the runs were open. The staff we met were all very friendly and helpful. It was very cold out and we visited the chalet several times and purchased some face gear at the snow shop. They had a very good selection of goggles, ski masks & gloves which I didn't expect. Our kids ate lunch at the chalet and thought the pizza and pears were good. I enjoyed breakfast sandwiches and lattes at the coffee shop in the chalet. Over all the entire family enjoyed this ski trip and we plan to make it back to Giants Ridge again soon.

Played 3 rounds in early September. Weather was unseasonably cool, but it didn't matter. These courses are fantastic. Conditions were among the best of any courses that I have ever experienced. Wedge divots DO fly 20 yards and stay in one piece. Fairways and tee boxes are mown so tight that you can putt on them. Greens were a few feet short of lightning-fast. Chipping aprons and catch areas were designed for little pitches that would hop once and stop. The Legend is more open and forgiving, but also isolates you more while you play. The Quarry crowds holes closer together, but has more personality with its dramatic elevation changes. Both are plenty challenging, and neither has any impossible forced carries. Both courses have made appearances on various "Top 100 Courses" lists, and it's no surprise why. If you're within driving distance and you love golf, you should play here. While you're at it, head north and play The Wilderness, too.

The legends and the quarry at giants ridge plus the wilderness at Fortune Bay. 3 really good courses. Stay at the casino hotel. Get a suite-- not expensive. The Vermillion Club for pizza. Fabulous weekend from the Twin Cities.

Returned for 2nd trip to Giant's Ridge Golf Resort. Was rained/hailed out on Legends course, and played Quarry following day. Both are spectacular and Quarry more demanding, particularly off the tee. Tend to play early with rounds less than 4 hours in duration. Restaurant at Quarry course is not to be missed. Had the rib eye, which out classed best steak houses in Winnipeg. Driving time from Winnipeg at a very doable 5.5 hours.

I played both courses this week. The legend course is more forgiving for the slicers out there. But the trees and the grass all make this course worth it. We played after three and saved a few bucks but would have paid the extra.

An amazing place to take advantage of MN's beautiful outdoors - - the obvious golf courses but also the hiking/biking trails, water, and scenic drives. The staff is friendly and helpful beyond description! Try it; you'll like it, too :)

Can't say enough good things about the golf course conditions. Negatives - No 5somes....really? Get with the times. The course wants to host buddy trips, but not if 5 guys fit in a car. The pro shop should probably mention the swarms of biting gnats before your round. A week later and my legs still haven't healed.

This place is one of the top rated golf courses in the United States . People come from near and far to golf the green! I personally went for snowboarding this winter. I always have a great time they have awesome food great gift shop and much much more. They offer tubing too that was a thrill because you never have to walk back up the hill!

Due to the frigid weather, we were wondering if if we were out of our minds, going skiing in -30 conditions! But we drove all that way, and were determined. We were greeted by a very friendly employee who welcomed us, and offered us a free snack and wished us a fun day. My husband was injured and couldn't ski, so he stayed in the lodge. He said that all day, this fellow went around checking in on guests, and asking if they needed anything. I've never seen this before, and was really impressed. This looks very good on Giants Ridge!Skiing was fun, too bad the weather was horrible. We'll be back after the deep freeze for sure!Still had a great time tho!
