If you like looking at boats and thinking about all the cool placed you could go in them or how many fish you could catch, etc this is the place for you. If you like old technology - especially older, classic boats, this is also the place for you. If the weather isn't so great and you are tired of looking at the rain on the lake, this is the place to visit.Takes about 2h to go through slowly enough that you will seem most of the exhibits.Lots of older boats. Would be nice if they allowed us to borrow some of them for an afternoon.....Anyway - young or old - everyone will enjoy this museum. I've been there three times over the past 15 years or so and will be back.

I visited the boat museum with a friend and my 9 year old grand-daughter. There was plenty to keep all of us stimulated and engaged. I was happily surprised that there were so many hands on activities for kids to enjoy and learn from.Another treasure in Wolfeboro, NH.Thanks to all.Karen L.

Really cool museum, early in its growth but the displays and lake artifacts are great. Always great boats on display, I look forward to their new location opening.

Had a wonderful time looking and learning about these beautiful mahogany lake boats. Outstanding beautiful vessels. Also, enjoyed the interactive exhibits. This boat museum should not be missed.

Although small, the museum was very interesting with antique boats and a car carrying a boat. Had some hands on stuff for kids, which the kids enjoyed very much! The staff was very courteous, and there was a little side area outside where people crafted canoes and kayaks of there own. Very good museum, and the boat ride was even better. Amazing host with very scenic views, and well worth the price! For boat lovers, a must see!

Small, a little pricey, but for someone who likes boats, vintage ones in particular I'd say this is a must see. Some hands on stuff for kids, boat building camp next door where you can take a look at volunteers helping people craft their own canoe, kayak, or small sailboat. Staff very courteous and friendly. Received discount for Wright Museum down road as well as discount for vintage boat ride on nearby lake which we were disappointed not to be able to do due to weather.

A small unique museum, but very interesting, especially if you like the history of boats. There aremotors and other displays for viewing.

Though the museum is small. I found it extremely interesting because I love boats. The museum only houses about 4 very interesting boats, but has interesting information all around. I loved answering the questions on the boards on the stage area. I also thoroughly enjoyed The Millie B (antique boat ride) that I got a discount for by visiting the museum. I also got a discount on the entry since I had visited the Wright Museum & they have some kind of agreement between the two. So I got great value for money. :-)

This museum contains an assortment of boats which were built throughout the years. It contains boats from the twenties, thirties, and beyond. There are also motors and other articles pertaining to boats. Included in the admission fee is a short video about boating. The museum is somewhat small and is interesting if one enjoys boats.

Very nice small museum essentially focusing on small boats on the local lakes. Remember lake Winnepesaukee is the largest body of water wholly contained within one state in the nation.

The displays are very well done. Lots of good information regarding the history of these historical boats and area lakes. Worth a look.

The museum can be enjoyed in 1-2 hours, or stay and play with the projects. It well represents the classy and classic area of Wolfeboro and surroundings. Focus is on motors but paddling and sailing are represented. Take time to go when you are up there, or better yet, attend one of their events!

We have visited the boat museum a few times over the last six years and have enjoyed our visit each time. To see the old wooden speed boats was really neat. The museum does a great job immersing families in the craftsmanship of old antique boats and the history those boats have gone through over the years. There are plenty of activities for both adults and children to enjoy.

The museum is small and nicely done. It would be better if it were on the water or at least had a water view. The best thing about the museum is the annual auction they hold mid-summer. It's a terrific opportunity to pick up an antique boat, or for that matter any boat, for a good price. There are also unique nautical antiques available to help decorate your Adirondack style lodge. The boat auction is a fun day for sure.

The "museum" is very small, it is basically one room. We looked at everything there in about ten minutes. It is not interesting for young children at all. Did not go on the antique boat ride, but the museum is not worth the price of admission.
