Took 2 of our grandchildren (age 4 & 2) to the museum. It's a great place for you kids. Lots of hands on stuff and good for different ages.... It's a little pricey for a one time visit. The annual membership is a great deal if you live in the area. They were fascinated with the million plus lego replica of the Manchester mill building area, including the one we were in. Give it a try.... I think you will like it.

We found this place on our way to somewhere else, but we're so happy we went! It's close to the highway and there is a good restaurant within walking distance. The museum is two floors and has fun activities. The kids we went with were 2-5 years old and they had a blast. They enjoyed the "Moon Walk" (where a staff member hoists you up to simulate low gravity), the chairs where you can hoist yourself up with pulleys, and the big submarine with periscopes! I liked the giant Mill Yard replica made from Legos. The price is decent too, $8, under 3 is free. There were also snack machines, gift shop and several bathrooms with changing stations. Nearby parking that is free on weekends. We'll be back!

Lots of interactive displays which the kids(11,13,16) had fun trying out. We are big fans of LEGO so the Millworks exhibit was a big draw. It really is amazing. The museum building is party of the original mill.We did not pay for our visit because we are members of another science museum but really enjoyed ourselves.

Hands on fun for children. Best suited for preteens. Went with family that was visiting from South Carolina. Both girls (aged 3 and 5) had a blast exploring the place.

My two boys (ages 6 and 8) and I visited here recently. We had just over an hour before it closed, and I'd say that was about the right amount of time, although I could see us spending another 30 minutes to an hour possibly. I loved how hands on it all is. Definitely a place where kids are encouraged to touch just about everything. The huge lego display is pretty amazing.Feels on the smaller side, but still a lot to explore.

We dropped my wife off at the Merrimack outlets and I brought the kids (3, ages 11, 8, 6) up to the SEE Science Center. The kids had a great time. Yes, some of the 'science' interaction objects were pretty simple, but letting the three kids muck about with things in their own time together made the time pass quickly. They had a great time with the 'pulley chairs' racing each other up and down. I was extremely impressed with the Lego display. There's a few 'easter eggs' hidden in the windows...and on the roofs! Check for the robbers on the roof, and see if you can find the ambulance responding to the guy with the severed arm! (My kids pointed that one out to me!)In all, the kids spent a good 2 hours onsite, and I had to pull them away to get back to pick up Mom at the mall. They wanted more time, but I suspect that more than 3 hours would be unnecessary. Oh, and the price was $8 a head, and between May-Sep they offer a military discount, which was, alas, not available when we dropped in.

My husband and I took our 8 yo second grader here last Sunday morning. I had read several reviews beforehand, so I thought it would be a good fit for a family fun day. After being there I have no idea how some reviewers said they spent 3-5 hours there! We were there for exactly 75 minutes and we saw/touched/interacted with everything they offered. Most of the exhibits are DIY hands on stuff, so parents need to read the directions for the little kids. Even though there is a lot of reading and some complex science concepts being shown, the whole layout and exhibits a geared for 3-5 yo in my opinion. The Moon Walk and the Lego Millyard complex were big hits for my daughter and my husband. I'm glad it was only $8 pp admission because for what you get, it isn't worth more than that. I'd recommend it to parents of toddlers, but we won't go back.

I visited for the first time with my Lego-obsessed 4-year-old son and my 10-going-on-16-year-old daughter, as well as my mother. At first glance past the door, I was worried that my daughter would be bored, but she was pretty happy to go around and work the displays on her own while I followed her little brother around. She was a little sad that she was too big to do the moonwalk, but the gyroscope chair and the bubbles made up for it. All of us were most impressed with the Lego recreation of the Millyard, and my son spent a lot of time building his own little train station. He also enjoyed the musical section, banging the pipes and plucking the strings of the exposed piano soundboard. The submarine tunnel with the periscope was also a favorite, as were the farm and kitchen play areas. With such a big age difference between my kids, it can be tricky to find a place that keeps them both happy. While this visit was a success, I suspect my older child would find any repeat trips boring. That said, it's still a great find, especially for those of us within a half-hour's drive.

This place is fun, more if you have kids that like to touch things (what kids don't?) There are many things to learn about while you are touching them as there are placards on all items explaining them. Learn about pulleys as you pull yourself up in the air on a chair, play with the plasma ball and all of the other small things that there are there. The admission price is pretty cheap, so that I always a good thing. The only problem that I found was that there are a few items that didn't work or needed some attention to work correctly and that didn't help a whole heck of a lot. You also don't want to be there if there is a large group there as well, as it can get loud and busy with the kids that aren't being looked after.

This is a pretty solid children's science museum. There's not too many inventive exhibits but solid delivery on many old favorites such as pulley chair exhibit, gyro scope chair, moon walk, electricity - shocking exhibit. Good explanations of scientific concepts accompany the exhibits. There is a massive Lego display on the original Mill and surrounding Manchester. Check to see if you have reciprocal membership with another museum for discount ed admission.

Parents of children with food allergies BEWARE they allow familes to eat at tables in the exhibits/right next hands on activities. So kids are going to and from exhibits and their peanut butter sandwich or anywhere no designated area at all

We got there at 10am - when they opened. No people. We could do anything. The lego display was very excellent. Different science exhibits. We spent 3 hours here. Great price!

As far in things in the area it's good. My children enjoyed it at a birthday party they went to. It was something different for a party venue which was nice.

My parents had brought my kids when the dinosaur exhibit was there and everyone loved it. We went this past weekend and my young children had a good time. I was very impressed with the their moon walk exhibit. The kids loved it!!!

As somebody who has had four generations of family in Manchester, this is the best of history and science! Why shouldn't children in Manchester be inspired? We are!
