We've been going here for years, and kudo's to all of those VOLUNTEERS to making this a beautiful place. I take my dog over here to walk all the time, we both love it, so many, many beautiful gardens, I love to sit and take pics, enjoy the beauty from so many, meet different people, different dogs, but mostly to enjoy the tranquility of the walk, the peace, the beauty. I knew it before it was a park, when it had the animals, and this by far is my most favorite. They have a great play area for children, I only wish bicycles and skateboards were not allowed, because it has interfered in my enjoyment with my dog walking all areas of the park.

This park is such a great way to spend a day with family. There is an array of things to do here such as picnicking, playgrounds, and hiking through the nature trails. It also has a dog park for your furry family. Whether up for a hike or looking for a wonderful place to relax this park has it all.

We visited the park with our grandchildren from South Carolina. They loved hearing us tell them all about the park when it was "Benson's Wild Animal Farm." They enjoyed the playground as well as the 911 Memorial as it was a learning experience.

I remember Bensons form when I was a child & walking through the many trails with my dogs & seeing some of the old buildings & pictures bring back delightful memories. Thank you to all the volunteers that brought back the beauty of the park for all of us middle aged folks who remember Bensons in its heyday!

This park has a wonderful playground , gorilla cage play area, scenic pond and paths. The landscaping is superb and the memories of Benson's as well as the tribute to 9-11 makes this a special place.

After living in southern NH for some time I never knew of this place until recently. It used to be a zoo in southern NH and very popular. I took the family for a walk on a cold New Year's Day. It is a little off the beaten path if you've never been there so keep your GPS handy. There is plenty of parking and upon entering you see a great playground and a 911 Memorial with an actual piece of the WTC.There are some buildings remaining from the zoo which closed in 1987 but it was like walking through a nice ghost town thinking of how many people enjoyed this place over the years. We were able to go inside the lion cage and then over to the Old Woman in a Shoe, the kids got to look inside and see the Old Woman. You could picture StoryBook hill...trails are all very flat and easy to hike. There are overlooks where you would of seen animals, pictured the gator in the water. There are nice plaques along the way telling you what your looking at and also giving you some history. The best part is the old gorilla enclosure that the kids could go inside near the playground, used to be home of Tony the Gorilla.I can just imagine what a great place this would be on a nice spring day to visit. Plenty of picnic areas and benches, very dog friendly. There is actually a dog park as you enter the park. You don't see places like this very often but due to circumstances the town was able to assume responsibility for the park. There are plans for a museum in the future and my hats off to all of the volunteers who have made this place what it is today. I will be back...you will be too.

Love Benson's Park. Whether you are walking alone, with family or just the family pet, you cannot beat the views, feeling of nature and great moments of serenity. I was recently there for my daughter's fundraising event and loved the time spent with family and friends in a healthy social setting.

This park has it all. Hiking trails, dog park, fishing pond, playground, picnic areas and the 911 memorial. Gaming activities include geocaching and Munzee. It is very well used and that helps to keep it cleaner from the potential abuse of vandals.

Benson Park is a former animal/ amusement park purchased by the town of Hudson and reclaimed and maintained by volunteers. There's a large play ground, beautiful gardens, walking trails and a dog park as well as an inspirational and educational 911 memorial. In winter, the park serves as a fine venue for cross country skiing or snow shoeing.

When I lived In Randolph as A Kid My Parents used to take me here when it was Benson Wild Animal farm. I loved it. Now I have grown up and moved to the border of New Hampshire . I heard the animal farm was gone but they made it into a park. There still are a few remnants such as the old woman who lived in the shoe and some cages that the gorillas used to use. But the park is amazing. there is a nice pond and a nice walk all around with food and a playground and many other things.

Love the walking trails, and idea of the dog park. The eagle scout that made some agility stuff is awesome. Downside, people who bring bad dogs to the park. My dog is super friendly and was bitten by either a large husky or Alaskan Malamute, owner is an older gentleman and seems aware his dog is a jerk. He shouldn't be allowed to bring that dog back, he should be a more responsible dog owner. I am NOT a happy person right now!
