Kevin Olsen has been flying balloons for at least 30 years!! Along with jets, etc. If you get a chance go fly with him and visit Sky Manor airport. Take the time to have him explain balloon flying and enjoy the sights from a few hundred feet up. the wind takes you with it, so ENJOY!!!

I belive with this flight, you could pay to take a ride up on the balloon? It has been a while but I friends pay to go up in the balloon.

My husband & I gave a GC to our friend for his retirement. His wife has a fear of heights and he actually gets nervous himself. Having been on past flight with Kevin we knew they would be in good hands. Well his wife ended up traveling (& I think she was happy about that) but we ended up taking the ride with our friend. It took him about 5 minutes to settle in and relax! He was moving around, taking pictures and loved the experience! It was wonderful to give a gift to someone who really has done & could do so much in their lives but had never experienced a balloon flight. Thank you Kevin and Alexandria Balloon Flights for another spectacular flight, pictures, and champagne finish (the snacks were delicious). Kevin is a true professional and we trust him with our friends/family as well as ourselves! This is one extra you must try!!

This was beyond amazing, and I've been in a hot air balloon before. Kevin Olsen, the owner and pilot, is an experienced pilot, and not just of balloons either. He gives an exciting ride that in no way seems like thrill seeking. If it wasn't for the fact that I could see we were rising off the ground and the land moving beneath us, I never would have known we had moved. Since you're moving with the wind, the air is perfectly still. Below us we saw animals, luxurious homes, and farmland. Out on the horizon we could see mountains and the Delaware Water Gap. Kevin took us up to 1000 feet, brushed the basket we were in through tree tops, and dipped us low to skim a pond. All of this was very leisurely. An hour and 10 miles later, we landed in a development. Children ran out to greet us as we exited the basket and loaded up everything into the chase van. The chase van follows the balloon and in some cases preceeds the balloon so that Loreli can take pictures of the balloon ride. Kevin takes a few pictures from the balloon and, of course, you can take as many pictures as you want. Back at the airport, Alexandria Balloon Flights provides a snack of champagne, sodas, cheese, candy, dips, fruit, vegetables, chips, party mix, and crackers while displaying the pictures they took as a slide show. When we got home, the pictures were already in my INBOX. My father, age 81, had always wanted to go on a balloon ride. He was beaming the whole time and kept saying, "This certainly exceeds all my expectations."
