罗格斯大学校园非常大,横跨两个城镇,其中又有很多校区,也有它的downtown,里面还有火车站剧院商城等像是一个小城市。这里的老师也非常负责任,经常与学生讨论问题,是个不错的学校

We have visited Rutgers Gardens and Helyar Woods regularly for more than 20 years. It's a beautiful oasis in crowded central Jersey, a great place to walk the dog or look at gardens. I've learned a lot about gardening here over the years, and walked the trails more times than I could count. Beware of events on some weekends that can make it crowded. (Mother's Day plant sale is worth seeing, but it's a zoo.)

Since I live near Rutgers Gardens, I enjoy stopping by whenever I want to be in a beautiful and peaceful place. If you like walking, there are trails. If you like gardens and beautiful flowers, there's a magnificent display garden, different theme every summer. A photographer's paradise! (for flowers, etc.). There are a number of benches for just relaxing and reading. Lots of pretty areas to walk with beautiful landscaping, which changes as the seasons change. I've also set up my easel and painted there!

Very nice gardens. Worth a visit if you are in central NJ. Very organic with fruits, veggies and flowers. Go there when they have a festival going on. Nice gardens to walk through too!

If you are looking for something else to do and out of the typical date spot...I would suggest the gardens. A lot to see...its free...and its a nice way to escape the stresses of college...at least for a lil while

Lots to see. From the bamboo forest to the log cabin. There is a perennial forest also. Best time to visit is Mother's day weekend. They have a plant show from shrubs, to flowers to vegetables. Very knowledgeable staff. Ask for Ira Grasgreen to give you a tour and answer any of your questions.

Cute gardens for short walk.Gardens are pet friendly.Access is free unless you want a guided tour.Good to know: - Rutgers campus is not really a nice campus to walk (compare to others like, let say, Princeton). The whole campus is not worth a detour but if you are in the area and need a little fresh air, come and enjoy the gardens and also have a look at Old Queens building, Bishop House (and grounds with gate) and finally, the statue of William the silent (standing near Murray Hall).- Bookstore is very nice for Rutgers apparel.

We went here just to check out what it was like and it was fairly nice. Free parking and a good amount to walk around and see. There was nothing there like food or activities that could occupy you for more than 2 hours.

Most fascinating feature: huge bamboo forest, where the bamboo is so tall and dense that it is noticeably cooler and darker. A trail makes it hiker friendly, although watch out for little stumps from cut down sections that were made to clear the path. Wooded section with trail, with steep bank leading down to a small lake. small stream bisects the forest. Gazebo and permanent open 'tents' for ceremonies such as weddings. Small enough to walk the entire gardens within an hour, from one end to the other. Maintained by Rutgers University students and faculty.Only downside: occasional litter of beer bottles and other undesirables.

I have been to a few gardens before...this place was great. Beautiful lay out. Child got a bit bored, but she appreciated the work. Flowers were magnificent. Would bring more water , but other then that"....go go go. This is a place that is a good trip, good exercise , and good fun. It's free...if that helps

I liked the fact that you can almost feel (almost) that you are out their in the wild by yourself.Well, there is nothing to dislike really but nothing outstanding about them either. The hiking trail was nice, the garden's were garden variety (sorry, couldn't help it).Word of warning: it was a bit confusing for me to locate the place. I was told the same by a couple of other people. It's right on Ryder's lane (right on Log Cabin road if you are heading South) but the navigation couldn't find. I had to read consult my hotel front desk and follow the signage carefully.

See a bamboo garden, cool! If you like flowers, plants, this is a nice little place to stroll and spend an afternoon. But it could get really hot because a good part of it has no shade.

Rutgers Garden is both a formal garden, large more informal garden areas, and a hardwood forest, very close to the center of New Brunswick. It is owned by Rutgers University, and it doesn't cost anything to visit. I particularly like the bamboo forest, the Helyar forest (even if very damaged after hurricane Sandy), the azaleas in the spring, and also the small formal garden around the square little pond. Birdwatchers love this place. Don't miss the 'sunken' conifer area with all kinds of strange cone-bearing plants. This is a very kid-friendly place. Part of the garden is dedicated to horticultural research, and it is a much more low-key garden than the big famous ones, but it is a little gem in central New Jersey.

Beautiful garden. Well kept. I had my engagement shoot here. This is an enjoyable place to stroll around and have picnics.

Rutgers gardens are huge park- like gardens near the center of New Brunswick. It’s a great place for a peaceful stroll or to bring the kids. I believe it’s over 50 acres large with a lake side cabin, a forest trail, meadows of flowers and all types of plants displayed in various sections of the gardens. There are many events throughout the year so be sure and check their events calendar. Entrance is free; the gardens are maintained by contributions and volunteers. I was there for the “Spring Flower Fair” that they have every Mother’s Day weekend. It’s a great opportunity to buy some plants, get some great advice from the knowledgeable staff and help a very worthy cause. Something for everyone, stop by, you’ll be glad you did.
