I have been to the Blackthorn many times for lunch and dinner. I really like the decor and the food is great. You can have a full course dinner or just snacks and drinks! In the winter, the fireplace is going and it is very charming. Sundays is Irish music night, so be ready! Their Irish soda bread is really yummy! I wish they would sell the small loaves to take home!

Lots of good beers on tap and the bartender will let you sample them. Service is always very good. Some of the cooked foods such as the Shepherds Pie were too salty for my taste so I tend to go with a turkey club. Friendly atmosphere.

A place to stop and see the crowd has an out door patio that is nice on summer evenings. Not too expensive. Can get loud but hey who likes a quiet bar. It is a frequent of locals and lots of friendly people are there. We enjoyed a Saturday night on the patio in June. It was fun.
