I grew up in Fairview and when the old church burned down, it was replaced with this majestic Greek Orthodox Church with beautiful Byzantine-style iconography and an all-white altar. When I went with my sister who was visiting from Chicago, she took pictures to show her husband who was from Athens. She said that the beauty and style of the interior of the Church were very similar to those she saw in Athens and other parts of Greece. The priest in the Fairview church is very friendly. Once a year in June they have a Greek festival where you can get food made by the women in the Church and also view the inside of the Church. Parking is limited but should improve with additional property purchased by the church.

This is by far one of the best Byzantine churches we've been blessed to visit. It sits majestically atop the Fairview cliffs overlooking the vast valley below. On a clear day you can see it from as far away as 20 miles. It is adorned by amazing original icons commissioned and painted in Greece. The inside of the huge dome is painted with the icon of "Pantocrator" the icon of Jesus looking down on His flock with compassionate eyes. Close your eyes and surely you will find yourself back in time. Stay and enjoy and partake in the Divine Liturgy, you don't have to be Greek to understand. Prayer is international and this is a jewel that everyone must discover!
