I have coordinated company outings to Speed Raceway, Scott their acct. exc. great to work with for these outings. Everyone comes away saying they had a great time. You can order in food from outside for events as well. They have meeting space & all of the staff is friendly & helpful. I highly recommend SR.

The facility is new and so is the staff. We have gone to the track a number of times and the service gets better each trip. The karts will go very fast but can be limited based on the drivers skill and experience. There are adult karts and children karts. They are run separately so the while family can race. As mentioned in other reviews, this track in popular on the weekends and evenings so you will wait sometimes to get on track. There is a snack shop and arcade game to keep you amused while waiting. Personally, I enjoy a rest between races. This is a great time for families to bond. There are also birthday packages, corporate event packages and racing leagues.

Thisa is real racing, helmets and all. It is a great time for kids and adults, but try to go at off hours as it can be crowded with long waits and bring your wallet, it is not cheap.

This indoor go kart facility is sheer racing fun, and the kart are really fast. Yes you might have to wait a while as they only race 6-7 at a time, and each 14 laps race takes about 10 minutes to stage, race and exit the track. My suggestion - call ahead and make sure there aren't any events going on, and go on a week night. Be prepared to get bumped if you don't take a group with you. I'd recommend Speed Raceway in NJ to anyone who's up for an adult racing experience.

We were here during the weekend. This was only our second time, however it was very disappointing. We, and many people are competitive. We came here to have a good time but it it frustrating and very hard to have fun when the kids that are working the races are not actually watching what's going on, and are too busy texting on their phones. It all makes for an unfair and an aggravating race. We're going really fast in these cars, and if the kids aren't paying attention, then someone will get really hurt!

When you get to race the go-carts, this place is great fun. Unfortunately, it's very popular and the wait can be long, especially on a weekend. There are a few ways to race, and coming in as a "walk-in" will guarantee that other groups will go first. Scheduled parties get first priority, and people can also pre-register for start times. In addition, if you come in with just a few people, you'll need to wait until there are enough other "walk-in" drivers to fill your heat before you can drive. That said, if you like speed, you need to try this at least once. The adult cars go about 30-40 mph, and the adrenaline rush is great! You can "drift" around corners, and each track has plenty of curves for a challenging race. Juniors race in their own heats in smaller, slower cars. It's safe as well, as it seems virtually impossible to crash the cars. One frustration is when a much slower person is racing in your heat, which means you are constantly trying to pass that person. My advice would be to bring enough people to fill a heat (at least 5, no more than 8) so that you are racing with just the people in your own group. Try to visit on a weekday to reduce the wait time. Regarding comments about the pricing, individual races can be expensive if you are paying for a group. However, they offer a few group pricing options if you buy enough races, and they do offer discounts for weekday racing (when it's better to visit anyway).

Speed Raceway is a fun place to go for with friends or family but it is a bit pricey ($20 per person/ per race + a $6 one time fee) and the races only last about 10 minutes. When we went the wait time was quite long. A group of women in front us us were compaing that they had been waiting 2 hours. I was going to get out of line when I heard that but we were assured that the wait time was no longer that bad. It wasn't a 2 hour wait but I would esitmate that we ended up waiting about 45 minutes. It was fun but between the price and the wait time this is not something we will be doing often.

It was a very bad experience. We signed up for our 1 race and waited about 1/2 hour. We then asked how much longer we had to wait. They said there were 5 races ahead of us (2 tracks, about 10 minutes, we figured no more than another 1/2 hour). We ran out to get something to eat. When we got back we figured we'd be right up. They said 2 more races. We waited and saw at least 4 more races occur. At this point, I was ready to leave. I wanted my money back. I was very angry at this point. I did not yell or curse or anything, but the girl at the desk acted like we were out of line. Of course, that was when they said we were next. When we raced, they put us with another couple and a single guy. All the other races before us were just the people who came together. One of the races was even 1 person. So they just shoved us in with other people. It wouldn't have been too bad, but the single guy rear-ended me hard and then I saw him knock into my daughter. And he was not even flagged. Now my neck hurts and my daughter's back is bruised. I will NEVER return there again. Not even if it was free. It was just not worth the time and aggravation.

Went with a group. After 2 hours we never got to race. We checked twice and promised our group would go in 3 races. It never happened. No one even tried to remedy the situation. A bunch of kids without a clue and no customer service at all run this place. Bottom line, a group of 20 adults spent 4 hours and got their money back and left and they could have cared less.Don't waste your time or money on this place.

Fun place and carts are electric but fast! It can be a bit pricey with a bigger family so we can't go "every" weekend...
