This was such a disappointment, the menu was so limited, that my wife finally ordered from the appetizer menu. The wine was excellent, the food was only just OK. Calamari was tasty (not enough for dinner) Duck was fine, but not cooked as ordered arrived medium rare not medium, and only came with some pure of artichoke and a few berries. We Will Not Be Back this is not like Bar Cara (the former owner) POOR

We decided to have dinner at the Yellow Plum, Bloomfield's new restaurant. It proved to be a good choice. It was a nice night, so we decided to eat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. The food is very good and very nicely presented. I don't think anything sat for any length of time after it was cooked because everything we ordered came out hot, and very well presented on white plates and bowls. It looked very appetizing and tasted great. The only complaint I heard about any of the food was confined to the desserts, which looked as good as everything else we had, but just didn't have the same level of taste. The donuts were kind of meh and the chocolate was more pudding than mousse. There's a nice selection of beers and wines. The service is spot-on. There wasn't one negative comment from the any of the four of us about the service. That's not my usual experience with a restaurant this new! The next time we're visiting our friends in Bloomfield, we'll be bugging them to go back to the Yellow Plum!
