This museum was well worth the trip off Interstate 10 near El Paso. The museum is at an airport and has a very nice, large parking lot. Inside there is a nice collection of airplanes and cars, along with other memoribilia such as old gas pumps. The people were friendly and helpful.

Took the short drive from El Paso to visit this museum and was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful quality planes and cars. Was a great way to spend an hour and a half. Was not busy there and a young man gave us a tour of the planes and cars along with the history and was a great visit and well worth the time.

Took a short drive from El Paso to check out this museum, and it was totally worth it. Amazing display of both aircraft, and automobiles; fully restored like they just rolled off the assembly line.

Really nicely put together and well-maintained facility, aircraft, and cars. Really a treat for war/history/aircraft/machinery buffs, and for people with no background in those things as well. I can't figure out why more people don't know about this place. The staff was really good, and in particular, Richard Massey, a docent who gave us a special tour of some of the planes, was terrific. We spend 2.5 hours there (and with a 7-year-old, even) and we'd have stayed longer had we been able to. I'd highly recommend a visit here if you're in the area. Two thumbs up from everyone in our family.

This museum is set up in one big plane hangar. There is a variety of planes and cars from the 1940s and earlier. They are all kept in excellent condition as well. They will give you a map so you know what you are looking at. Against one of the hangar walls, there are a variety of pictures and paintings from WWI and II, as well as some military uniforms throughout the museum. Admission prices ($5 per adult, children free) are very good for what you get to see here. Well worth a visit.

"....but, it shouldn't be. This Air and Car museum is absolutely incredible! Everyone should make it a point to stop and marvel at the wonderful aircraft on display, the antique and one-of-a-kind cars, and the static displays and artifact exhibits. My personal favorite is the 1935 Auburn boat tail. WOW! WHAT A CAR!! F-4 Corsairs, MIG jets, DC-3, Mustangs, and so much more.Very friendly and helpful volunteers there to answer any question you have and often will take the time to explain the purpose of the aircraft you're looking at. For a minimal charge, this is a great museum and exhibit. A MUST SEE when in El Paso.......

I cannot stress enough how much I am impressed with this museum. If you are a fan of aviation at all and in the area then do not hesitate to visit there. Their displays and restorations are top notch. Very very clean and well organized. There are also some vintage automobiles on display and they too are well preserved, restored, and displayed quite well. The $5.00 admission price is well worth it and twice that would still be a good value. All the employees there deserve a lot of credit for what they do.

If you have some time to kill and you love older aircraft this is a good place to go. Not huge but most of the planes have been restored. There are also collectible cars and military memorabilia to look at and browse through. It doesn't cost much and is mostly indoors and air conditioned. A very friendly place too.

Located very, very near to the border with Mexico, this museum presently houses the only Russian (but Chinese built) Tupolev Tu-2 in the country, which was on the tarmac when we were there. I was there to see it. While photographing it, a staff member came out and opened the bomb bay doors of the Tu-2 for me. I was in heaven. The museum also has a very large collection of cars. Both aviation and automobile buffs will enjoy their visit. If it hadn't been for a busload of school kids, we would have been the only visitors there that morning. For that reason, potential visitors should consider getting there sooner rather than later, for I fear for the life of some of these museums that are rarely visited.

If you're an aviation buff, this is definitely a museum you don't want to miss! In addition to an excellent selection of aircraft, their is also an interesting display on Women in Aviation and the Tuskegee Airmen. Mr. George Overstreet, a Vietnam War Veteran B52 pilot, was a knowledgeable and friendly guide on our visit. A small, tasteful, gift shop is available. Overall an enjoyable visit.

Needed something for the kids to do today (3 girls) and we've done all the other places around here (zoo, childrens museum, Fort Bliss replica museum, and many others). So we went to this museum. Absolutely a gem of a museum. My young girls (ages 5, 10, 11) were kept occupied for over 2 hours going around taking pictures. For me it was an opportunity of a lifetime. They have some really rare birds to include a P40E, two P51's, a P38, A26, a Fiesler Storch and many, many other planes. Austin is a volunteer and showed us around. Pretty knowledgable for as young as he is. Hopefully I got to impart some history on him. Really enjoyed myself and I've been to a lot of museums to include the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, the National Air and Space Museum, Sinsheim Museum, Romainian Air Force Museum and others just to mention a few. Granted, not near the size of those collections but it is a must see for anyone interested in aviation. They also have a vintage car portion in the same museum so if you're into that.....Walked in not expecting much and walked out extremely happy! Price is $4-5 bucks and kids are free. Depending on how 'into' history you are, plan on 2 hours or more if you really want to take your time and view each and every item. Only are of improvement would be to have a kids aviation learning area to keep the kids occupied. A good example would be the aviation section of the Albuquerque Childrens Museum. Softdrinks available but no food. Bathrooms available. All on one level with easy access for wheelchairs or strollers. Gets a little warm in the hanger area so visit in the cool morning when possible. DEFINITELY WORTH A STOP. Less than 10 minutes from I-10, take the Santa Teresa exit and head south. You feel like you're driving into Mexico but a few miles from the border, there are adequate signs for the museum.

I have been wanting to visit this museum for a bit, and my family and I decided to stop by on a whim. The admission price is very cheap: $5.00 per adult and children are free. All but three of the planes are inside a hangar, so you do not really have to worry about the sun or heat. The selection of aircraft is great. There are 36 planes and some of them are iconic planes. My favorites, probably because I remember liking them as a child, were the Corsair and the Lightning. They were extremely cool to see in person. The museum also has about 50 old automobiles, ranging from the early 1900's to the 1970's. All of them were very cool as well. We strolled through relatively quickly because we have two small kids, but you can easily spend several hours here. I plan on bringing my dad next time he visits us. Overall a great and cheap experience.

An outstanding collection of aircraft and automobiles. The walls and cases are filled with artifacts and information that you can spend hours reading if you go through all of it! The aviation art prints hanging on the wall are awesome. Some very interesting aircraft with a lot of interesting history, such as the P-40 that flew in the Toro, Toro, Toro movie and one of the oldest Piper Cubs still around! Great to see the care that has gone in to preserving these classics. And the jar of Grey Pupon sitting in the Rolls Royce was nice touch! Military discount available and they have a nice gift shop!

Nothing to dislike unless you don't care to view a fantastic collection of vintage aircraft and automobiles managed by volunteers who love their museum.

This place is a small gem and well worth seeking out. It is a bit of a trek but well worth the trip.We were pleasantly surprised to find cars as well as planes. If you are in the area and have a love for old planes and autos this is your kind of place.
