If you love ceramics this is wonderful place to visit just off the Plaza in Santa Fe. The staff is very knowledgeable. Even if you don't buy anything it is an education just seeing all of the different work.

Clearly, Andrea Fisher is the preeminent Pueblo and Native American pottery shop in NM. It's like a gallery, and the sales staff is very knowledgeable. If you are a beginning collector, or an old hand, you will see pieces that you like in your reach. That said, personally, absent an absolutely unique piece that I absolutely had to have, I would not but there. There prices are just too darn high. While it's worth it to pay for location when you choose a hotel, I'm not going to pay for prime location when buying native art. Instead, leave a few hours early on your drive back to Albuquerque and visit The Palms Trading Company on Lomas near Old Town. It's just a couple of miles west of the Freeway and they have the same artists at much more reasonable prices. You won't see quite the range of top-end pieces, but if you are a novice or a serious collector, it's definitely worth a visit.
