The Folsom Museum is a treasure of local history and artifacts donated by residents in this New Mexico area. Located behind Capulin volcano it is well worth the drive and if traveling to Colorado Hwy 72 is much more senic than the well-traveled 287. Musical instruments, fossils, saddles, kitchen equipment and more are contained in this rural gem and the price cannot be beat. $1.50 on our most recent visit.

For a fairly small museum, this place has some great hidden treasures. Very clean place. Lots of interesting items and history. Staff was very informative.

An old fashioned museum with a local history flavour. Would be very interesting to local inhabitants or people descended from the area. Run by volunteers, negligible entrance fee.
