We started at Jackson Lake junction. We truly enjoyed the sights of Jackson Lake, Potholes, Mt Moran, Mountain View Turnouts. We continued onto the one way Jenny Lake scenic drive that looped to the Teton Park Rd and continued to Moose Entrance. From here we took the very scenic Moose -Wilson Rd onto Swan Valley. Totally beautiful.

Teton Park Road takes it's drivers to some spectacular views. If you are blessed, you might even run into some wildlife.

In September there were few cars on the road. We saw animals at close range and enjoyed fabulous scenery---very relaxing.

Be sure to leave plenty of time to take in all the beauty that is on offer. Plenty of photo opportunities all along the road.

Lots of turnouts provide plenty of opportunities to admire and photograph the Tetons, which are some of the most stunning mountains I've ever seen in person or in pictures. Nice drive that you can take at your own pace. Apparently if you're there at the right time of day & year (sunrise or sunset in spring/fall according to the park ranger) there are lots of elk crossing, but we didn't see any when we were there sadly. The road is very well maintained and easy to drive on.

I have been privileged to visit over 70 countries around the world. I am often asked which was my favourite. That is an impossible question to answer. What is unquestionable, however, is the stunning scenery of Grand Teton National Park. It is literally breath-taking. I will never, ever, forget my visit to this part of Wyoming and I recommend everyone to go there. It should be listed as one of the wonders-of-the-world.

Teton Park Road is the road within Grand Teton National Park that runs north and south just west of Highway 26/89/191. The southern terminus is at the Moose entrance of GTNP; the northern end is at John D. Rockefeller Jr. Pkwy (just west of Oxbow Bend). Enjoy a drive along the scenic road with many places to stop: Craig Thomas Discovery Center; Chapel of the Transfiguration; Mentor's Ferry; trails at Jenny Lake, Bradley Lake, Taggart Lake, String Lake, Leigh Lake, and Jackson Lake; Chapel of the Sacred Heart; and the road and trail on Signal Mountain. Take your time, hike a few trails if you can, and enjoy the views of the mountains and clouds reflected in the lakes.

What wonderful views and feelings of quiet and freedom! The 20-mile stretch of paved and separated-from-the-road multi-use/bike pathway connecting the town of Jackson with Jenny Lake and completed in 2012 is dedicated to the memory of Gabriella Axelrad, a 13-year-old bicyclist who died near Jenny Lake in 1999. High-visibility clothing and helmets aren't enough protection against inattentive drivers, but those things plus separation from traffic, hopefully, are. The pathway honors Gabriella's memory beautifully. The pathway has, in addition to views and separation from the road, a tunnel for crossing highway 191 at Moose Junction and separated river and creek crossings. All of this greatly heightens bicyclists' safety in Grand Teton National Park and makes for a more slow and quiet way to enjoy the Park.

Touring anywhere in the Grand Tetons in late September, early October reveals a treat at each bend of the road. Whether you are seeking wildlife of any type or just enjoying the incredible array of fall colors, take plenty of time to travel all the roads in the park. Yes, it might take some time to see a moose, bison, antelope or bear, they can be found with patience. Most amazingly, the colors of the aspen and cottonwood trees were simply breathtaking. My cameras were put to good use as we drove aound viewing spectacular scenery. We took a rafting trip down the Snake River that was peaceful and scenic. Be sure to visit Jenny Lake and try to arrange for the boat ride ( it stops running in October). A trip filled with memories that will last a lifetime.ip long remembered.

Saw an Elk herd, Buffalo herd and Pronghorn Antelope. Pay attention to the speed on the roads. We had a Buffalo step right out into the road in front of our car.
