Great weekend to visit quaint local museum with Smithsonian class! The Friday to Sunday schedule was to be packed with live entertainment, authors, artists and our favorite, re-enactors that are in-character-for real.

The Mammoth exhibit was outstanding and the people in the museum are most knowledgeable of the local history.

One of the best in the west--great regional view--you will learn more here on the Bighorn Basinthan anywhere. It is user friendly and very interactive and very new. Kids and adults enjoy it,

Stopped by the museum for about 2 hours. There are 3 galleries. The temporary gallery had displays on carnivals from around the world. The 2 permanent galleries cover archeology, paleontology, and early ranchers in the area, as well as general history. While the museum is not too big, all exhibits are very well set up. There are several videos throughout the museum that you can watch by just pushing a button. I'm not really a fossil guy, but I enjoyed the displays this center had on fossils and archeology. The ranching display/historic cabin area is set up nicely. If you are in the area and have some extra time, this museum is well worth a stop.
