I'm not a fan of rude people and that's all I encountered at this place. I think it was overpriced and overall I didn't have a good experience here. I've been to other museums and have gotten better treatment elsewhere. Don't waste your time going here.

We spent two hours here and I didn't even get to the dinosaurs. This is a very well done, and up to date explanation of the progression of life on earth. With fossils for all the different phases and periods of earth life it was fascinating to someone who loved her prehistoric life on earth college class. Things have improved in the knowledge 100 fold since I took that class and it was great to fill in some of the pieces. Hubby got through a lot faster than I did, and after those two hours I was pretty saturated and didn't really spend much time looking at the main exhibits of all the different forms of dinosaurs. They are quite pleased with their archaeopteryx, one of only twelve in the world and the only one in the US. It was very wonderful to be able to see it in person. This was well worth the trip to Thermopolis, let alone the entrance fee. Definitely a main attraction.

This museum was a nice surprise. I was expecting a small town exhibit, but was rewarded with a very well thought out collection that exceeded my expectations. The $10 admission was well worth it. I will most definitely return.

Having been to the Natural History Museum in Washington DC many times, this place brings home the fact that so many amazing finds happened right here in Wyoming! In fact many of the dinos and fossils in DC are from here! Cool history for everyone! Recommend it for any age!

This museum had something for everyone in our family. The exhibits are fun, but the highlight was the tour of the dig site. A must-see if you are in the area.

We came to this town on a whim. We just jumped in the RV and headed for it. We didn't know what to expect here. We thought the museum was very nice. Cool fact: there is a small rock shop in town and the owner is the one who found that big dinosaur in the main room. He had a box of rocks in his shop under the counter that were rocks found with the dinosaur. They were from the gizzard of it. He gave one to my daughter for free and told her the whole story of how he found the dinosaur and all about the gizzard rocks. Her mind was blown out of this world that she actually had a rock that was inside that dinosaur's body millions of years ago. It's a cool little town if you don't come with such high expectations. We just chilled at the water park and talked with the locals about cool things to do in the area.

World class museum in a small cozy town! It's a great place to spend an afternoon learning about the animals that once roamed the area

I am no archaeologist, but this is a well designed, entertaining, and not too expensive place to take the entire family. I'm a computer buff that is hard to impress, and I absolutely loved this place! They dedicated a little too much space to the souvenir shop, but a must if you're trying to experience the West and all it has to offer.

It was an excellent small museum. Very informative, very bright, very well laid out, very clean. It is a good one for all ages, our group ages were between 75 and 12 and we all enjoyed it. Nice gift shop, also.

Not a huge museum, but our kids really enjoyed it.Next time, we want to sign the kids up for the half or full day field trip to where they dig.

I have always heard great things about this museum so when my husband and I found ourselves in Thermopolis for the weekend, we decided to go. When we walked in there was only one person working at the desk and we were ignored for a good 3-4 minutes while she helped another couple "shop" the items under the glass display case. It was a little irritating that she didn't greet us or even just say she would be with us in a few moments. Admission was a little on the high side I felt at $10 an adult. The displays are not very kid friendly, however there is a very SMALL area of kid friendly play toys and a small interactive display. The majority of the museum is behind glass and offers few hands on displays. Perhaps if the dinosaur dig tour that you have to pay an additional fee for would have been available- we might have higher reviews. As for the museum part, it was average.

This is a really good dinosaur museum. They have a lot of fossils and information about them. It's not very kid friendly, but great for couples. They have a good gift shop and the staff is friendly. A must see when your in town.

Have to say the museum itself was wonderful, would recommend it to anyone, old or young. The only thing I would suggest is, make sure what you are told is what you receive. We had paid to have our Secretary Conference registration at the museum, with the understanding that we could view the museum. As the ladies arrived and started their tour, we were told each person would have to pay the museum fee. That would have been fine if we hadn't been told different when it was set up. Very disappointed with the way they handled it. Great Dinosaur Museum though.
