great tour through all floors of this restored mansion, like many of these houses the original owners furniture was all gone, however many of the Iversons possesions have been sourced or donated.through great fundraising and donations the house is full of many period pieces, also the third floor is a treasure trove dedicated to local history.nice shop as well, worth the admission fee staff and guide were excellent, an excellent place which should not be missed if any where near Laramie, well done to all saving this piece of history.parking on street around the house.

My wife and I visited the Mansion and it was a wonderful experience. When we arrived we were the only two guests but the former curator, Mr. Dan Nelson was very kind to take us on a tour. The Mansion was beautifully restored be volunteers and generous donations and the antique furnishings were incredible. The displays of history of the mansion and area were very well done but the thing my wife and I will always remember from our visit was the pleasant, informative and interesting conversations we had with Mr. Nelson. We really appreciate Mr. Nelson's time and even though he had some health issues to take care of, he made our visit one of the highlights of our 3 week trip through the northern to Mid-western states. Thank you very much and get well soon.

I love this museum! Not only for its vast collection, beautiful grounds and of course, the Ivinson Mansion, but for the passionate staff and volunteers! From the HS junior docents to the retired seniors, everyone you encounter here is a representative of the Laramie community who is doing his or her best to give back. Take the time to take a guided tour and learn about the Ivinson family and Laramie's beginnings as an end-of-track railroad town. Who knows, you may walk away with a greater appreciation of the past AND a desire to get more involved in your community!

Great museum, beautiful mansion, well worth the $10.00. Such a history of the Ivinson's life and how much they accomplished in Laramie. The tour was wonderful and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also learned that Laramie was the first town to hold a municipal election, on September 6, 1870. So, the first woman who voted in the United States was a Laramie resident; she is believed to be seventy-year-old Mrs. Louisa Swain. Laramie also had the first jury upon which women served - in March and April of 1870. The first woman bailiff in the world was Mrs. Martha Gymons-Boies in Laramie. Just such a wonderful place, go visit, enjoy the beautiful grounds and take some time to learn the history.

The Ivinson's Mansion is well worth a visit. The guide was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable and the house is beautiful. The furnishings inside the house reflected the wealthy's mode of living in the 1800's. The top floor of the house contained settings and artifacts reflecting the way of living for the early settlers. There was a barber shop, doctor's office, line cabin, saddles, and much more.

This mansion houses the museum and shows the kind of house the wealthy owned in a well documented western town.

I loved the victorian decor!!! The mansion is so beautiful, and contains so much great Laramie history. The docents were incredibly knowledgeable, and everyone was so friendly. I wish that I could live in that house. WOW!!!
