This little museum is unlike most in small towns. It is well organized, and has a trained anthropologist (Dr. Mitch Mahoney) as curator. It not only has the standard collections and photos from the early settler families, but also a nice Native American section and a small but good geology and paleo (dinosaur) section. When I last visited they'd just put up a Lakota Sioux art exhibition from the Wyoming State Museum. Very nicely put together, informative and educational. Very well worth the hour or so it takes to go thru. Dr. Mahoney is an excellent resource to discuss the exhibitions and history of the area.
