Many unique items. About 3000+ ft packed with unique national & local memorabilia. Static display is not large but some rare planes are present. The Tapes for the guided tour are only bested by a guided tour ( If they are not busy).

The museum is nice, lots of info and displays indoors, and some awesome aircraft outside. Well worth the long drive to see. Unfortunately you have to be accompanied when you view the outside aircraft. I take a lot of aircraft photos and felt like I was rushed. I could have take at least a couple hundred more photos if I went at my own pace. Great museum regardless. I hope to go back and spend more time there.

I'm only mildly interested in aviation but these guys have put together a varied collection of items, uniforms, models and many other historical material that it's a well spent 2 hours. Additionally, they have a number of retired planes on display outside. Docents will tell you all you want to know and are required to accompany you outside. They are very knowledgeable. If you go, do yourself a favor. Eat at the airport cafe too. They were excellent.

Recently we took our 4 yr. old grandson to the Aviation Museum to see the "airplanes". Incredible place, full of memorabilia from the past, with very helpful veterans who escort you through the museum and give you a wealth of information . Outside are the aircraft and what an outstanding display of helicopters and fighter bombers and more. Wonderful, remarkable collection.

This is well worth your time. Museum was wonderful with a very knowledgeable docent led guide. You will likely spend an hour to two hours here at the very least, if you read the articles and enjoy the outdoor aircraft. Please visit you will not be disappointed!

This museum is so well maintained and the gentlemen there are incredibly helpful and informative. The planes speak for themselves and are captivating and interesting for young and old. The flight simulator for children to enjoy is a wonderful addition to the museum and receiving their simulator certificate is a nice bonus. Don't overlook this museum. It is worth the charge,

This museum was great! Lots of historical artifacts, pictures, information and planes to see. Our guide was Norm who was a retired Air Force solider. He was an endless source of information and stories since he actually lived through most if the post WWII military conflicts. He knew the history and mechanical details of all of the planes and helicopters we viewed. This is a great place to visit if you're into history and aviation.

Great small aviation museum with unique to the area displays. The docents are great and really care about your visit.

This is a rare find for aviation buffs, especially those who like static displays of aircraft. Out on the flight line (just behind the old terminal building) there are at least 15-20 different aircraft. HAMM has an F-104 Starfighter, an F-111, an F-100 Super Sabre, and an FJ4 Fury as well as other hard to find aircraft. This museum is definitely worth your 30 min to 1 hour visit and the volunteers staffing the museum are helpful and knowledgeable.

A great little museum with a very good quantity and quality of exhibits, and growing. The docents are very knowledgeable and friendly.

I've been to several flight museums, in Texas, other states, and even the Smithsonian. Of course you can't compare this to the Smithsonian, but it is one of the best, and most extensive I've seen, not to mention most are in cities much larger than Tyler. Tyler is much the richer to have a museum such as this. From several actual aircraft, to uniforms, stories, and other memorabilia. You could spend several hours, or even a day, in it's corridors if you like history, and take time to read all the information. They often have fiy-in's of old aircraft also. Also take time to eat at the "Airline cafe" for good home food, and hamburgers.

The HAMM or Historic Aviation Memorial Museum near Tyler is one of the bestAir plane museums in the country. It has artifacts from the earliest flights to the moon landing and even a moon rock. It also has actual planes that U can see on site. They also have a simulator to practice faking off, flying and landing a plane. This is a comprehensive museum with interactive exhibits. A must see if U R any where near Tyler.

If you enjoy aviation and military history then you will love this museum. The guides were very helpful. And our kids loved getting to walk out on to the taxi way to see the restored planes.

This is the best one I have been in. The men & women that work there are all veterans of the war and can tell the story's about the pictures and other things that are in there. A must see!!!

This little museum contains a nice variety of interesting aviation information. There are several historic planes on display and knowledgable personnel to guide your visit. There is a modest fee for entry, but worth the visis for those interested in aviation. As a bonus, there is also a nice little restaurant with good food and friendly employees within the building.
