This garden has so many different areas - and they are all beautiful. It is a wonderful place to stroll around and enjoy the flowers.

Like the heading says, I'm not a big botanical garden person. I've been to some others in some other cities,,, and my opinion is that they were small, and lame. This was cool. I would go back definitely. We didn't even make it to the big indoor pavilion,,, gotta go back :)

We had a couple of hours and the weather was wonderful so we stopped. I wish I had a my camera with me. The color of the trees were out of this world... gorgeous. I over heard a staff member say they were happy that so many people had showed up. I had to comment to her that the 40 people was a crowd? We are members of the Dallas Arboretum and we got in free!! Score for us. We loved it so we came back a few days later with our camera. It is small but well worth the visit.

If you are in Fort Worth, you should make time for the free Botanic Garden. Great pathways with beautiful plants, some exotic and others common but all well kept and beautiful. Inside this Garden is the Japanese Garden, where there is a fee for admission. Water ponds with koi, peaceful paths and spots to sit and contemplate the beauty and wonder of the garden.

In addition to formal rose gardens, native plants, and wooded walks the Botanic Gardens has a great lunch spot and large lawn areas.

Beautiful in any season, the large park offers many different sections. The 1940s era rose garden, a perennial garden, a large arboretum, and many open areas for picnics. Lots of water features throughout and old large growth trees. The Japanese Gardens and Large Greenhouse are both also worth a visit, but do charge a fee. There is a restaurant on site and rental space for meetings and social events.

We went when the leaves were turning red and yellow and other unique colors. If you can catch that narrow window of time ( couple of weeks in Fall )....this garden is very beautiful. It is nice almost anytime......but the Fall colors are amazing.

Although it was too cold to enjoy the outdoor gardens, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Conservatory. The plants are gorgeous! We were also pleasantly surprised to find paved paths throughout. Our party included someone in a wheelchair, someone with a walker, and a family with a stroller. The paved paths made the visit very smooth!

Garden is pretty big and you will pass many lanes leading you to see beautiful trees, flowers, little lakes with fishes and turtles playing together, wooden gazebos where you can sit and rest, bamboo trees and amazing Japanese garden. Where ever you turn, you will see something amazing. Peace and calmness.

We were here for the Amazon Local coupon and we had a nice time in the Japanese Garden in January. Not a time when there are a lot of flowers, but the walking paths are tranquil and pleasant. There weren't a lot of people, which added to the beauty of the walk. :) The koi were waiting for treats, as there are dispensers where you put in a quarter to get fish food. The Garden restaurant was nice and the food was good.

We visited in November using a Living Social offer which was for the Japanese Gardens that included lunch. We are new the DFW area and thought we would check it out. I would not recommend going here in the fall. The Forth Worth Botanic Garden itself is a huge facility which I am sure is beautiful during the summer months. The Japanese Garden was pretty dull at this time of year and there were hardly any visitors. I had read good reviews about the restaurant, but we were extremely disappointed and will not be dining there again. One should not have to return a salad, twice, because the lettuce is brown!

These gardens are beautiful. You can go for a walk all around it. Check out the concerts in the summer here. The Japanese garden is not to be missed!

Be prepared for a relaxing walk, beautiful sights, relaxing atmosphere, water ponds with colorful Kol Fish with large mouths. Benches to take breaks, bathrooms. Bring your own snack and water and your camera for great photo captures.

Like: the walking around the grounds of the Botanic Gardens and getting exercise. I think this would have impress me much more if it had been Spring or Summer, even possibly Fall.Dislike: the time of year, end of December, that we visited; also, the charge to the Japanese Garden which we decided against since we had wandered the free grounds for over 90 minutes before getting to the Japanese Gardens.

Very pretty flowers, streams and pond. There were a lot of really cute turtles and a lot of beautiful things to take pictures of.
