It is a terrific golf course. The greens are always in good shape. It has hills, flatland, water, rocky areas all in a beautiful setting. We have never played there that we haven't seen numerous deer. The price is excellent.. Although prices vary depending on the time of the year. In the fall, a senior can play for less than $40.

Slow play and pretty good greens. This is a fun course especially the back nine. The ruff was well overgrown. Players in front of us very slow come on people even if your slow play ready golf!

Played this course with a friend for 9 holes then caught up with group ahead of us and finished the back 9 as a 4some. Really fun golf course. The front 9 is pretty tight and hilly. The back 9 is mostly flat more of a down and back layout. The greens were perfect. Fairways were in very nice shape, rough was not over penal. Only complaint, the bunker were just in OK shape. Some were pretty hard packed. But, the bunkers were playable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Played it on a week day and pace of play was excellent. I would definitely play this golf course often if I lived in the San Antonio area. The green fee rate is not bad at all for this caliber golf course.

If u r looking for a golf course that is both challenging and scenic...this one is a great one to chose. Fees are reasonable and they also give a senior or military discount. Well worth the drive out of SA to get there! Enjoy...

Played here with another person as a two some. Enjoyed the course and it's layout. Convenient and easy to get a tee time. And the price is good.Would recommend for others that want to do something different while visiting the north Metro San Antonio area.

This is a really nice public course right off of I 35 and 1604. The staff is outstanding. The course is in really good shape greens are nice but you better keep the ball straight away. I really liked the elevation changes and the scenery and views are really really terrific.

When this course was first completed back about 14 years ago it was a nice and scenic, but relatively easy course. Not any more. The trees have filled in nicely and the fairways are much narrower. This is a tough but enjoyable course to play. We played behind a slower group that allowed us to play through at the turn. The tees and greens are in good condition as well as the fairways. There are many elevation changes here. There's also a fair amount of high level noise from Randolph AFB, and IH 35 on the back nine. The pro shop was friendly and the course Marshall is very effective. There was some unexpected interference from the mowing crews. They move around without concern for the golfers on this course. Overall, the course is in great shape and plays prettylong. Straight drives are required here, as there are many hidden creeks on the perimeter.

This was a well maintained course for a municipal course. The greens are VERY fast and the fairways are pretty hard as well. The only complaint I have was the foursome behind us were members and they were being jerks about our pace of play when clearly we were being held up by a foursome in front of us.

Played this course in mid February as a single. What a hidden gem. As others have said, not your typical municipal course. Some of the best greens I have played on this trip. Lots of elevation changes, scenic wildlife, and playable holes. Very impressed. Had excellent interactions with all staff members in the pro shop and the starters. For under $40, a course I would play every time I was back to the area.

If you played the SA city courses, you need to venture out to Universal City and play Olympia Hills GC. From it's elevated tee boxes to long par 4s, this course is a challenging and fun course to play. The pro shop staff and starter were nice to my party. This course can be a challenge to any high hc but there are some holes that any novice can score on. They have a real nice on-site practice range (balls not included) that is near the starting holes. Be sure to book a twilight special for best rates.

Very beautiful course but very rude staff. It was a nice day but car path only due to rain the day before. Three brothers in late 40's and 50's along with 79 year old father. Marshall, very rude person and with no tact at all rushes you thru the course. I tried to explain that being car path only, my father being 79 and one brother being VA handicap it was taking a little longer but he said that we had to play faster. I explained that we stopped to get water and sodas because it was hot and that we let the other groups go by and he said it didn't matter and to hurry up. Needless to say he ruined our day and we will never play there or recommend this course to anyone

Course was challenging and well maintained, however, the staff was rude and the Marshall was not keeping track very well. He pushed my group along multiple times, not realizing that we couldn't play any faster because of the group in front of us. He also said that the group behind us started 50 minutes after us, which was not true, and said we were not allowed to let them play through. I've played many courses in San Antonio since I've moved here, but this is the only one that I will not be revisiting.

This was my second time to play this beautiful course and I had remembered from the first time that this was a "MUST PLAY AGAIN" course whenever we were back in that area. You know you are in Central Texas from the trees and brush (and NOT houses) outlining the fairways. Seriously, this course is a muni? In rates only - it's better kept than half the country clubs. Truly enjoyable course to play.

Let's face it, golf courses in San Antonio have a ton of competitors. There are excellent courses all around town in every price range. Olympia Hills Golf Course is a very good course that stands out for me. I believe that this is one of the best value courses around. The greens are always in amazing shape. The elevation changes are a lot of fun and there are several holes that require you to use your head before pulling a club. You'll have plenty of strokes by not pulling driving on every tee box.

A great local course in northern SA. Is a shot-makers course so don't plan to hit lots of drivers off the tee. You'll likely score better if you use the driver sparingly...at least on the front nine. The greens in the summer are quite fast so be careful. They have a military discounted rate.
