From the first hole: waiting for our turn how your supposed to.... Ladies behind us obviously ran the course starting to critizising and rushing us. Ended up letting then go ahead as we did not want to be behind them. The man working the cart/club rentals was very nice and helpful. But the ladies had called the club house complaining about us (before we even began) once they passed we began with our game, trying to enjoy the course. Toward the end of our game marshal came to us and told us we needed to take the game more serious and stay out of the way of the two groups in front and back of us. We ended up just leaving before finishing our game, after feeling constantly harassed by both staff and other guest. Will not return to this course! Beside the service at the snack bar and the one man working rentals, the customer service was the worst I have seen. Very rude if you are not a part of their crew. We were never even given a chance. Tried to make the most of if, but was treated poorly though out our time there. I usually give serval strike before giving bad reviews, but they used up every strike in one day.

Drove around this country club area and looked at all the houses. Very nice area. It was hilly and had lots of character to this area. There were really nice houses as well as mediocre ones.

We had a difficult time finding the 15th hole. But I enjoyed the difficulty and the views. And the cost.

I saw the owner Billy verbally berate the wonderful Ruth who works(ed) there. Billy has short-man`s syndrome and I will never give him another dollar.

Had a pleasant round here. It was in the middle of the week and was not crowded. If you are staying at Stage Coach Inn, you get a discount

If you haven't played here in awhile, I can understand. The quality of play had sunk over the years with terrible greens, hard bunkers and limited service. Enter in a new owner who has already started in with hole improvements. On my recent round, I noticed much better fairways, holding greens that putt true.

Mill Creek is or was a great RTJ course. It has been changed from 27 holes to the "best" 18 after a flood took out several holes a couple of years ago. The layout is spread out noe with some holes a 1/2 mile from green to next tee box. It is still a fun course and in great shape. The food is awful so don't expect much. Also it is very laid back. Got there at 7:30 for an 8:15 tee time so we could hit some balls. No one was there and the proshop didn't open until 8:00.

Love the drive down to Salado and playing this course. Always a challenge with rolling hills, water and trees. Usually fast play, the regulars don't mess around and you can keep up a good pace. (I hate waiting for every shot) The clubhouse serves up tasty food and ice cold beverages.

I love this course..... I am new to the area from Ft Worth, Tx... I will continue to play this course for as long as I live in the area. Oh! I'm a club member now :)

Great water play - very challenging course. Gold pro is extremely helpful and patient with beginners.

Great layout, but sometimes needs more upkeep. Reasonable green fees, and overnight accommodations available.

Some challenging holes. Makes you use all the clubs in your bag. Decent price for the quality of course. Salado is a quaint little town with nice art studios and small businesses.

Fun course in good shape. This course was 27 holes before a major flood a year ago. The course lost 6 holes in the flood. Right now only 18 holes are open but they are in good shape with great greens. The pro shop and grill staff were very accommodating. I had heard rumors that this course was in poor condition, but that is 100% false. I will definitely be back.

I recently played this course (end of July 2010). The course is OK, but the staff are terrible. There was a tournament going on the same day and one of their people came up to me while I was practicing and started picking up the balls I had out for practice. Then she asked me to move. I have never been treated in such a rude and condescending manner.I reported this to one of the men in the pro shop and he simply shrugged. The course is not as nice as the price and the staff is the pits. I will never come back.
