we were visiting an old army buddy and he took us down here, it was okay nothing to brag about, but they said it use to be a very romantic and nice spot for lovers and family.

we have been to the park many times. It WAS dilapidated. They are trying to turn it around. The water and electricity to the camping spots has been repaired, access has been improved to the day use areas. The litter was picked up, and now there is a cafe! It was not time to eat, but I am looking forward to trying it on our next visit. The birding was great! In five minutes, without even trying, we spotted at least TWENTY species! No Eagles around today, but it should be good habitat for them. I hope the park continues to make strides for the positive. We will do what we can to support the effort to improve this excellent birding site.

Well I have been to the park on numerous occations, it was run down, empty, and lots of snakes... I was told that it was under new management and that they even had food out there now. Will check later and see. Update everyone then
