We visited the winery on a recent Saturday. The weather was beautiful so we were able to sit outside for our wine tasting. The woman who helped us was so personable. It's hard to have a bad day sitting under a large oak tree sipping wine with friends. We will definitely go back!

Enjoyed a day with friends trying out wineries in the area. I really enjoyed visiting Fiesta Winery! I usually do not enjoy sweet wines, however I fell in love with some of theirs! They have such a wide variety of wines that anyone can find something they like to drink! I took home a bottle of their Rhinestone Cowgirl -Sweet Rose Wine (a malbec blend) and their Tempranillo, which was delicious! I can't wait to see their new outdoor area completed. Also our wine hostess was to sweet! She really interacted with us, gave us a lot of information about the wines and the wine club! Can't wait to come back! The drive out is beautiful by the way.

If you are into sweet wines, you might just be in heaven here. They have wines that taste like a margarita, wines with chocolate and peach flavors in them. If thats your thing, check them out. Otherwise, id probably skip it, though the staff is nice and the property is beautiful

There is a story here at Fiesta Winery in Lometa…a BIG TEXAS SIZE FAMILY STORY!! The 600 acres on which the vineyards and winery reside have been in Steve Baxter’s family for 6 generations! Steve and Sally, their son, daughter-in-law, daughter, and son-in-law planted the vineyards only 4 years ago and opened the winery 3 years back. They all take a very active part in running the business that produces 10,000 – 15,000 cases per year. The tasting room is very nicely decorated with barrel tables and high-top chairs, allowing for folks to relax, drink some wine and chat. The patio out back has an expansive view of the ranch and welcomes you to kick back and stay a while. Steve and Sally give a pretty informative tour also. Oh! Don’t forget to check out the bathroom…way cute!!! This place makes us think of a lazy country get-together beggin’ to happen! They also have two tasting rooms, a little closer to the general population, one on Main Street in Fredericksburg (see our review) and one on Highway 290. All tasting rooms serve the same great wine! Here is our hint to you – go visit them all! Each have their own flare, personality and fun. Drop us a comment below letting us know if you visit one or all of their locations and tell us what you thought.Happy Trails!

If you get a chance to visit the Baxter family at the Fiesta Winery, do yourself a favor and go. I hate wine, have always hated wine, and thought I would forever hate wine. Mr. Stephen Baxter proved me wrong. Not only is this a place that puts out a phenomenal wine, it is a family business doing it. I was not poured anything that I didn't immediately love. The scenery is of the most picturesque view of the Texas hill country. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Enjoy drinks in the beautiful tasting room, enjoy wines overlooking the vineyard, or even enjoy them by the wonderful pool area. Get to know the family here and their amazing wines!!!

We stopped in here during the Labor Day weekend. I have spent many years in the Bend area and was not aware of this winery as it fairly new to the area, although the family that runs it is not. My wife and I stopped in after tasting at Alamosa Cellars down the road. Upon entering the tasting room, there was no one there and we waited about five minutes prior to an employee finally walking in. After the employee arrived, we loooked over the wine list. Prefering dry wines, we each selected five to taste. Sad to say, but none really stood out and several were not even drinkable and tasted as if they had been watered down. We purchased a bottle of tempranillo (we always feel obligated to purchase a bottle even when they arent grewat) as it was the most drinkable. We also believe we were overcharged for that particular bottle based off the listed price. However we did not find this out until later down the road and we did not feel like making the 40 mile trip back. The tasting room and grounds look great and there has been a lot of work put into them. I hope that their wines will reflect this hard work as time progresses because at this rate we will not return. Anyone with any tasting experience will have a hard time trying these wines. Perhaps those that favor sweet wines will fare better here.

We enjoyed our visit tasting wines here. There was one sample that I did not like at all and the staff let me replace it with a different type of wine. Now that is excellent customer service!

The staff was helpful and friendly. The wine however is much sweeter than my husband and I prefer. I even told the woman doing the tasting that I wasn't a fan of sweet. She tried to gauge my taste which was very helpful, but their wines are pretty sweet and seem "thin."

Stopped here for a tasting on a day out hitting 5 different wineries. Staff very pleasant, wines very good, mostly tasted the whites and sweeter wines, so can't speak to the reds.Tasting room very pleasant to sit in and relax, and their is a nice looking patio area for those who wish to taste while enjoying the fresh air. Will definitely be by here again to buy.

We tasted a number of wines from the area over our 2 days of travel and Fiesta's were by far our favorites. We had so much fun sitting on the back porch of this beautiful winery and doing a tasting and then enjoying glasses of our favorite wines. The only trouble was picking which ones to take home.

A little off the beaten path to get to but is set up very nicely and has excellent wine with cute names. I personally love the Skinny Dipping wine. They have it set up where you can do wine tasting or get married there, your choice!

Sorry, I cannot tell if they are part of the same Winery! The fonts used in their names looks the same...so here goes!We stopped in to the tasting room on Main Street, and the girl was pleasant and informative. Unfortunately the wine was not good...fortunately me and my dear husband split the tasting!None of the wines tasted aged. They all had a sharp edge to them. She told us they prided themselves on having wine that was different...reds that are sweeter than typical.

We visited several wineries while in the area and this was by far our favorite. Every glass poured for us was delicious! If you're going to do a wine club I HIGHLY recommend this one...I haven't been disappointed yet!

We went on a hill country wine tour and found this quaint winery. The wines were great and the tasting room was one of the nicest in the region. The Baxter family will instantly make you feel at home and ready to come back again.

The Fiesta Winery is one of the highlights of the Texas Wine Country trail. We visited there several times lately, including having a picnic lunch (BYO) outside on their patio overlooking the vineyard- accompanied by a bottle of their fine wine. Remember! Texas wines tend to be on the sweet side, but if that's what you like- you'll love this little gem- tucked away in the countryside near the small town of Lometa. Summers can be hot, but Spring and late Fall are excellent times for a wine trail tour of Central Texas. GPS this one in - 18927 W. FM580, Lometa, Texas. The owners, Stephen and Sally Baxter, also have a wine tasting location at the resort town of Fredericksburg, which is another great stop.
