Maverick Horseback Riding is, personally, the best place I've been to ride. Their horses are beautiful, sweet and most importantly, well taken care of. I rode Rocky, who was an amazing and sweet horse! The trail ride was peaceful, gorgeous and a breath of fresh air: therapeutical! Joan and Lenard's hospitality were admirable. They made me feel comfortable and at home. They were cordial, experienced, affordable and so much fun. I was much more impressed by Maverick's personal demeanor and customer service than the other local horseback-riding alternatives- I had a very smooth experience all the way through and I am very happy with my choice. I will def. stop by Maverick again to ride when in the Austin Hill Country next.

I arranged trail ride with Joan Marie as an anniversary date for boyfriend and I - he'd never ridden a horse before, and he absolutely loved it! Joan Marie got us warmed up in the pastures, went over some horsemanship and trail basics, before setting out on the trails and country back roads. We even got to ride in a creek! You won't get a better, or more authentic, trail riding experience in town. Five stars.
