Got a hankerin' to don your jeans, lizard boots, western shirt with the pearlized snap buttons, hub cap sized western belt buckle, silver bolo, Resistol hat and silver collar points, but don't know where to go? Bubba, this is the place. Take you Saturday nite bath, slick back your hair, and splash on some English Leather to smell pretty for the women. Floore's will have your boots scootin' in no time with live country music and more trucks in the parking lot than you can find at Bluebonnet Motors. And s__t fire! Don't forget the Copenhagen for your back pocket, Billy Bob.Tried the steak, hamburger and tamales here with mostly expected results . . . mediocre. Love old rustic places like these though especially to grab a cold beer and enjoy it outside at one of the picnic tables that line the dance floor. Beer, food, dancin' or just listening to someone sing about their divorce, running over their dog, or getting drunk and landing in jail . . country twang at it finest . . . It's a fun place to go when you just feel like gettin'-outta-town.

This is an intimate place....We sat close to the stage and loved the live music! There is a huge smoker out front that smelled so good that I had to try the brisket! It was amazingly good, low priced and was a huge portion! We also had the delicious homemade tamales. It was a privilege to visit a dance hall where so many famous artists have played! We will definitely be back!!!!

The restaurant serves good food with that great smokey barbecue smell as you walk in. They serve tamales as well which is a surprise. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a historic dance hall bar. There are lots of boots hanging from the ceiling. I would most definitely recommend going there for a meal.I also went there to a Willie Nelson concert. The tickets were reasonable and the venue is much smaller than most you would see a country music star of that magnitude so a great value at $40 a ticket. I was excited to go but shocked when I got there and realized the ground around the stage sloped down so Noone could see the stage well. We walked all around trying to find a better vantage point but no luck. The best you can do is to peep through some heads if the separate just right. You felt so close but so far awat. There were lots of seats and a dance floor inside with little windows you could see through but no speaker hooked up inside. If you go to a concert there pay for the reserved seating so you can actually see. I usually prefer general admission for outdoor events but not here. They have lots of concerts here so are surely aware of the problem but don't fix it.If you want a great outdoor concert experience drive to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell pavilion in Houston. You will sit farther away but everyone can see and you can take a blanket and lay out under the stars on the plush lawn and use clean bathrooms with an attendant who keeps the line moving.

ok, so it's an outdoor concert venue, with well thought out elevation for standing to watch a concert,, the show we watched had a vip area with picnic tables. Bathrooms are port-a-potties,,,, it's clean and nice for what it is,,, very very nice staff. Inside has a concert space to,,, like small hall.outside can take ? 1,000 maybe ? Inside a couple hundred ?don't know,, guessing,,,The cops jerked somebody out of the crowd during concert,,, big brother was watching ,,,,,smoking some funny substance :)easy parking,,, easy access to San Antonio

at least, that's what the sign outside says... he DID used to play there every week, but I caught him in a fairly rare appearance at Floore's.

Went here for the first time ever with my wife, a native of San Antonio, to see Kevin Fowler. I can't believe I lived in S.A. for 4 years and never went here. I can't wait to get back down to the promised land and catch another show.

This old dance hall has so much history behind it, it competes with Gruene Dance Hall for best all around best dance hall in Texas. And they both are within easy driving from downtown San Antonio. John T has hosted many of the best names in Country music over the years. Add to that, a place to get a cold beer and some vittles, a place to sit, and a dance floor to soothe those neon light blues.Just a great place to just visit if you are not into the "tEXAS COUNTRY" thing!

This old time dance hall a but northwest of San Antonio is a great weekend place to visit. Lots of dancing, great food, cold beer in several bars and bands that make us happy to be alive. Dance gall has outdoor picnic tables, bandstand, and bars for those nights when dancing under the stars is a great idea.

Went to see The Texas Jamm Band - such a nice quaint place. The staff was excellent. Lots of room and the decorations were historic. Nice place to go.

My husband and I attended an outdoor concert at Floores and we were sadly disappointed. The sound system was way too loud and the musicians struggled with constant feedback and other technical issues. Also, very long lines to the bar and we were charged $18.00 for two shots of mediocre whiskey and one "can" of beer. For those prices I expect to have an excellent sound system, a variety of quality liquor, and good craft beer on tap. I will not be going back to Floores. If you want to experience a true good ol' Texas dance hall, save your money and go to Gruene Hall instead. On a positive note, the outdoor venue is huge, the atmosphere is great and you are able to get up close to the stage to see the musicians.

if you want to experience a Texas honky tonk...this is the place! it has true spirit of the old country music eateries and bars; the food is not the best but the atmosphere makes up for it ! free live band with contry/western dancing on Sundays !!

Lots of great country western style music. If you're lucky you may see Willie! Website has the entertainment schedule so be sure to check it out next time you're planning a trip to (or near) San Antonio, Tx. Venue is just outside of Loop 1604 (about 30 minutes NW of downtown). Be sure to have the tamales and the stuffed jalapenos while your there along with a cold adult beverage. Fun for couples but families will feel right at home here. Concert venue inside and out.
