This is definitely not our first stay here. Normally we enjoy this hotel. Rooms are nondescript but clean. Side note, for some reason they have decided not to include body wash any longer. Not a big deal at all, I travel with everything I need. Front desk is usually very friendly. Must be a busy hotel because as a platinum card holder we have not had an upgrade-ever. My question is this: for a seemingly 'full' hotel, how hard is it to send-not even a note, it may be too much trouble apparently- but a blanket voice mail telling your guests that your water is being shut off?!? That's right, mid shower, no water. I am sitting here half washed and freezing. Call downstairs, they are apologetic, which doesn't do me any good right now. The excuse is that the city brought this on this morning. Yes, ok, hmmm it's almost 2pm. It takes TWENTY SECONDS to send a voicemail to all the rooms. Manager on duty is no where to be found. Maybe he forgot and is stuck in the shower too? This is the Westin. Not a small mom and pop place with growing pains. Get your stuff together. I can bypass a lot but this is completely unacceptable. I can't be happier that we moving to a different hotel this evening.

Great course and good condition. Pace of play is fast which is really nice. Good driving range. It's a challenging course. The only downside is that the cart doesn't have GPS. For the price the course charges, it should have GPS carts.

Just completed a 3 night stay at the Westin Stonebriar. Very nice hotel. The common areas were well kept, and the fitness center had a good number of machines. A little too cold to try the pool, but looks quite nice. The only problem I had was with the rooms. The room itself was nice with a refrigerator and safe, but housekeeping was so-so. Found hair all over the bathroom floor, on the shower walls, and in the sink. I left a note for the housekeeper that the nightstand lamp was not working, along with a tip. The tip was gone, the note was left on the side table and the lamp wasn't fixed. I had to stumble around the room in the middle of the night.

We stayed here for a soccer tournament , 11 year old age group. There were several teams at the hotel. It was Labor Day weekend so the hotel had all kinds of activities poolside. It was fun for all ages, but packed. After dark, the pool lighting was dim, great for the mood, but hard to navigate. Plenty of towels for the pool. They had a breakfast buffet for the teams, which I was disappointed in. The fruit was good, but eggs were powdered in my opinion and no breakfast meat. Bar was lively and drinks decent. Staff was efficient, hotel clean and well decorated. Hotel close to a good burger place. We would stay again.

There are many wonderful things about the Westin Stonebriar. The valets jump to open doors and offer bottled water each time you enter and exit. The lobby is welcoming and well appointed. There's an impressive fitness area and the hotel will even provide workout wear for $5. Unfortunately my room didn't impress. The first thing I noticed were the large stains on the rug and an overall impression of a room past it's prime. Not what you expect for $300 a night. The bathroom was small, had only one towel bar and no fan. Couldn't fathom this in a place as hot and humid as Dallas. It was also obvious the housecleaning didn't wipe down door handles or light plates or change the covers on the decorative bed pillows after each guest. After commenting on the state of my room, the front desk let me know that many of the rooms are slated for renovation. I'd have to see them first before staying there again.

We were staying in the Westin and booked a round of golf at the golf course. The course is very nicely maintained with well manicured greens and fairways. The service was great. Only be careful to not venture of the beaten track to find your ball, almost stepped on a rattle snake and missed a cotton mouth on the one tee box.

A truly magnificant and beautiful golf course.. A bit too pricy, but a good one time outing.. The scenery and homes surrounding the course are absolutely beautiful and magnificant..

Very nice resort course! You have to be a guest at the Westin Stonebriar to play here but the overnight stay is worth it. Generally you can play the course for about $60 and it is a great value. Really well maintained and not busy. They provide cold face towels with Eucalyptus and Mint on them at a couple of spots on the course and that is very refreshing. Not an "easy" resort course but fairly forgiving. Stay and play here you won't regret it. As a side note the Westin has a great pool area with waterslide incase you are traveling with the family and they don't want to golf.

I reserved a suite online and jumped in the car and drove 4 hours for an impromptu 2 day golf trip. Unfortunately, upon checking in i was informed that there were not any suites available. Wish i would have known that before i drove 4 hrs.
