This new county project offers walking trails, a lake to fish in, a place to launch canoes and kayaks, a big pavilion for group activities, and an event center on top of the highest hill in the park. It is certainly a great addition to the area attractions.

This is a very attractive park if you have time to spare when visiting Comfort. The park is adjacent to the I-10. There is no entrance fee. The centre point is a small lake, within easy reach of the parking lot. There are crushed gravel paths with impressive access for wheel chair users. At the lake, there are several fishing platforms. We walked all the trails - there are bird watching hides / blinds and there are numerous information boards to find out about the region's wild life and plants. There was a small herd of Texas longhorns in a paddock close to the parking lot. We felt this park was in great shape and is a great asset to the locals and visitors alike.

Have hiked Joshua Dprings several times and each hike is different. I especially enjoy the expansive views from several points. It is certainly worth all the effort to hike the winding road up to the event center and take-in the panaramic view of the classic hill-country. At one of the lower trails, I was fortunate to see my first Eastern Bluebird. I was thrilled. Must be a result of the nesting boxes located in the different areas of the park. I look forward to bringing my water and a picnic lunch and hiking the trails again...

Take your fishing pole! Crushed gravel path for walks or runs. Views of the lake and hill country are awesome. Kids can fish without a license as long as an adult is licensed.

We found this place by accident and really enjoyed our afternoon. Very clean, roads good, little pond beautiful, picnic tables have nice shade, nice childrens play area, 2 fishing piers, good hiking trails. We were excited about the fishing but didn't catch a thing in the 3 hours we were there. Had a nice visit with the park attendant and I could tell he really takes his job seriously and works to make it a nice place. One super star I would give is to have SOAP and toilet paper in the bathroom!!! Most parks DON'T! Keep that soap stocked!!

I highly recommend this park. It has some nice easy hiking trails, and a couple that didn't look quite so easy. There are also piers to fish from, as well as gorgeous picnic areas.

Bijzondere woestijnlocatie. Mooie rotspartijen. Zeker bezoeken als je met de camper bent en van een overnachting genieten op een van de RV natuur campgrounds.
