Great spot for working out, having a picnic, or bringing kid(s) for the playground spaces. Check directions before coming as there are two parking lots, there's a far parking lot located mext to the train-style playground. Trails are excellent for running/cycling as well.

This is a park designed mostly for walkers & bicyclists. Long and narrow with a playground at the end.

There is a magnificent rose garden called Bon Air Memorial Rose Garden in Bluemont Park, right off Wilson Blvd. The rose bushes and trees are labeled with the rose type names and years. There's also a pretty little garden tucked off to one side, maintained by Master Gardeners, and an expanse of lawn and big trees, makes for a beautiful vista. A lovely place to wander in the summer, and other times when the roses are in bloom.

Bluemont is one of the Arlington parks through which the WO&D trail runs. Within its wide bounds are baseball and soccer fields, an assortment of picnic areas with tables and even a Frisbee golf course. Its grassy knolls and trees provide an oasis from urban life with a quiet ambience for relaxation and enjoyment. Well maintained by the Arlington Park Authority. Right off the south Wilson Boulevard.

This is such a great urban park - built around the W&OD rail-trail. There's tennis courts, frisbee golf, baseball fields, soccer fields, and picnic areas. I usually run down to the park from the Bluemont connector trail- and take the trail east to Columbia pike and back. It's shady and peaceful - and never too crowded. On any weekend, you'll see families eating at the picnic tables enjoying the park. Definitely go to this park and enjoy a day.

I love this park. I think it's just the right size for an urban park. The Four Mile Run trail and the WO&D Trail run through the park, so it's a nice stop off for a picnic or rest if you're biking or walking. The nice thing about this park is that it's always full of people doing all kinds of stuff. Whenever I've biked through, I always see people jogging, biking, playing ultimate Frisbee, kids playing baseball, adults playing soccer, teenagers and families picnicking and people doing yoga. Overall, I think this is a great community park. It's not the kind of park you'd drive to from another part of the the County, but if you live in the Arlington or Falls Church area, it's worth a visit.

this park in Arlington has the four mile run connector trail running right through it. It is a branch of the OO&D rail-trail. From Bluemont you can ride/walk 20 miles south to Mt.Vernon or 60 miles west to Leesburgh. It also connects to the C&O canal trail to Cumberland, Maryland 130 miles northwest. Bluemont is known for its formal rose garden which is well tended and stocked with a variety of amazing roses. There are also tennis courts, baseball fields and picnic pavilions. A creek runs through the park along the paved trail. Some people let their kids and dogs wade in it but given all the storm water run off I don't ever do that.

Bluemont Park has a little bit of everything... wooded paths, bike lanes, picnic pavilions, playing fields, even a highly regarded disc golf course. The park is clean and very popular, but not well known outside the local neighborhood. Definitely a neighborhood gem of a park.

Great for those who want to excercise, play sports, walk, grill or simply relax. The restroom facilities are clean. Lots of benches to sit down. There is a least one nice playground for the kids that I have seen.

Great park that is well kept. Too bad the county doesn't turn over their road maintenance to the Parks people! Neat and clean as a whistle. The ONLY problem is bicyclists who drive so fast past you it is scary. They should be banned. One even killed a citizen last year from the same thing. Police need to be out there.

Grew up in Arlington and always spent all my time in the parks. Arlington has a great park system. You can walk, ride your bike or rollerblade forever.

Great place to ride a bike through on the W & OD trail. Beautiful rose garden.

I went there because of the 9 hole disc (frisbee) golf course. I like the park layout and atmosphere. I was also sufficiently impressed with the disc golf course. Though small, it was challenging. It seems this park is well used by nearby residents and for good reason.

lots to do - clean - safe - parking lot. 70 acres! pavillions, grills, bike trail, several kids playsets, disc golf course, award winning rose garden, tennis courts. I am planning a corporate picnic here, so i will write more after the event.
