星期天6点从博物馆出来之后过去的~小街还是很可爱的就是关门太害得我们变成橱窗购物了TAT。朋友说晚上9点过后不怎么安全~毕竟是美国大家要小心~

When visiting Richmond Virginia you need to go to Carytown. There is all kinds of shops and restaurants in this old area of Richmond. You can find just about anything that you are shopping for.

Carytown is a fairly long street of small shops and restaurants. Unlike Georgetown and many other urban shopping streets, it is still fairly untouched by the blight of national chains. You will find an entertaining selection of stores, including a very fun little toy store that my daughter loved. Well worth an afternoon of exploring.

Visiting Cary town has a varies restaurants, and interesting places to shop. These are mostly individually own shops. However, well respected and popular places. A must visit.

Greatest place in Richmond for strolling, shopping and eating.....it's an amazing group of shops in a small area and very easy to walk the street. World of Mirth(toys), For the Love of Chocolate(need I say more), Bygones(vintage clothing), Alter Natives and Ten Thousand Villages(all kinds of things from other countries).....this area is a MUST if you're in Richmond!

The five or six blocks which make up Carytown are a great eclectic combination of anything urban and artsy. Great food, old time theater, retail outlets and more. Nothing better on a warm Summer day than to walk between shops and be entertained by everything you see on the streets. Grab a sidewalk table while you can. Best time ever is the Watermelon Festival!

Carytown is essentially one long street - filled with shops and restaurants and an unusual amount of pet-related services (vets, groomers!)The shops & restaurants are (for the most part) very small so they can feel crowded. Restaurants tend to have a long wait and on a cold day that can feel brutal. Traffic gets tight and tempers get testy but if you aren't in a rush and have time to wander and enjoy people watching - a great place to go.I also had a great cupcake at Carytown Cupcakes!

A unique 1929 movie palace with movies for $1.99 under an exquisite chandelier (Friday and Saturday nights have a special show - an original Wurlitzer organ and oraniist rises from the floor to dazzle the audience pre-show with lights and tunes, no extra cost!!) In Carytown you'll find excellent thrift and vintage stores with upscale merchandise, restaurants of all cuisines and prices, a one-of-a-kind toy emporium not to be missed by anyone young or old. Apparel shops, gift shops, a chocolate shop, upscale linens and a kitchen shop are just a few of the finds in this memorable urban mecca. You can easily spend a day or just a few hours if you don't have the time, but don't miss a trip to Carytown when you're in Virginia's capital city!

Carytown is a unique shopping district on Cary Street in Richmond Virginia. There is a menagerie of shops ranging from Antiques(Sheppard Street),Decorating (Decor) Pet stores & Vets(PJPetts, Cary Street Emergency Vet), Hair Salons galore (Karina's) upscale shops( Roan, Phoenix, Glassboat), a variety of Consignment shops (Hall Tree, Clementine,Ashby, Bygones Second Act...)Tons of restaurants (Burger Bach, Amici, Can Can, C Street, Metropolis...)Bev's Ice Cream, Premiere is a costume shop. Ellmans sells ballet, tap and other dance shoes and supplies, Guitar Works is a great music shop and the Byrd Theater($1.99) has the old time organ that is played at the beginning of some events. It is a fun day of shopping. There are many unique shops tucked in along the street. I have only mentioned a handful as a teaser. The only tough thing is that parking is limited and can be challenging. You have to parallel park on the street, there are some parking areas behind the stores and on the side streets. Well worth a shopping day with some friends.

This is a very unique section of Richmond to explore. It has some neat shops, a very good baker, and very good restaurants. They also have several festivals throughout the year that are fun to attend. If you are looking for some cool costumes at Halloween for adults and kids also they have a wonderful shop for that. Take a carriage ride in the winter and see all the holiday sights, then in the summer go to the watermelon festival and enjoy everything watermelon. If you are into vintage clothing they have a neat store for that and don't forget to look up a store that carries all kind of spices. Take the tour and you will enjoy.!!!!
